During its WWDC 2026 keynote on Monday, Apple briefly showed a slide with hundreds of new features and enhancements coming across iOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. All of the software updates are currently available as developer betas, and they are expected to be released to all users in September. One week ago, SpaceX kicked off its institutional roadshow, headlined by JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, who hosted a nationwide “live interactive discussion” with private wealth clients. The latest signal of investor demand comes from the Gulf, where massive sovereign wealth funds are reportedly seeking allocations in the IPO ahead of its expected Friday debut, according to Bloomberg News. The report says Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and Kuwait Investment Authority have each placed orders for the IPO worth $1 billion to $5 billion, while the Qatar Investment Authority is also expected to make a significant commitment. The report continued: Entities based in the region are already prominent shareholders in Elon Musk’s rocket, satellite and AI firm, and many are sitting on large paper gains based on the billionaire’s targeted valuation of $1.8 trillion, the people said. It wasn’t immediately clear how much of the planned outlay is intended to prevent dilution of existing stakes after SpaceX’s listing. Image: Zelestra Meta and Zelestra are expanding their fast-growing US solar partnership with yet another Texas project as the tech giant’s electricity demand continues to climb. The two companies announced a new power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 180 MW Palmera Solar Plant in Freestone County, Texas. The new Texas project comes as Zelestra ramps up work on two other Meta-backed solar farms already under construction: the 176 MW Skull Creek Solar Plant in Anderson County, Texas, and the 200 MW Reclamation Solar Project in Gibson County, Indiana. Together, the Skull Creek and Reclamation projects are expected to support around 400 jobs during peak construction. They’ll join the 81 MW Jasper County Solar Project in Indiana, which recently came online as the first completed project in the partnership. A walk around the block. Carrying groceries upstairs. Cleaning the kitchen after dinner. These small moments of movement may affect emotional well-being more than many people realize. A major international study has found that physical activity and mood are closely connected throughout daily life. The research, which analyzed data from more than 8,000 people across 14 countries, suggests that people generally feel happier and more energized when they move more. The findings also show that feeling good can encourage more movement later in the day. The study combined nearly 1 million hours of movement data with more than 321,000 real-time mood reports collected through smartphones and wearable devices. Researchers say the work provides one of the clearest pictures yet of how physical activity and emotional well-being interact outside laboratory settings. “It has long been known that physical activity has a positive effect on well-being, but we used to only have evidence of this from lab and cross-sectional studies,” said Professor Markus Reichert of Paris Lodron University Salzburg, Ruhr University Bochum and the Central Institute of …

Underneath a seemingly unassuming “Buy 4 Less” store in a San Diego County neighborhood hid a sprawling secret — a tunnel 55 feet deep and nearly 2,000 feet long that was used to smuggle some $45 million worth of cocaine from Mexico to California, prosecutors allege. The subterranean passageway in Otay Mesa, complete with reinforced walls, a rail system, ventilation and electricity, is believed to have been operated by the Jalisco New Generation cartel and was discovered by a Homeland Security task force last week, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. On Monday, four men were charged with participating in a scheme to use the tunnel to traffic massive amounts of narcotics into America. Homeland Security investigators began paying close attention to the Buy 4 Less in December when they observed suspicious activity around the store. A new group of seven or eight “employees” was seen regularly going in and out of the building carrying a large number of suitcases. Nope, it’s not AI. It’s just a really big flag with bright lights, draped on Hoover Dam for the next several weeks. As a display to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, the states of Nevada and Arizona and the federal Bureau of Reclamation teamed up to hang and illuminate an enormous American flag on the dam on Memorial Day. The display, scheduled to be in place through July 4, is visible to anyone crossing between Arizona and Nevada on U.S. Route 93, which goes across the top of the dam. The flag is 150 feet tall and 300 feet long, spread on the south-facing side of the dam and lit by 550 LED lights (powered by dam-generated electricity).
