Creator Linwood Boomer and star Frankie Muniz have revealed the door isn’t closed on a potential second season of Hulu’s revival of Malcolm in the Middle. The reboot of the beloved Fox sitcom – which is subtitled Life’s Still Unfair – has been billed as a limited series of only four episodes. But in a new interview with TVLine, star Muniz and creator Linwood Boomer revealed there remains a possibility of more episodes. “For now it is,” Boomer said when asked if the series is a one-and-done event, before continuing: “I’m an old man. I’m very tired, but it was such a great experience, and I think creatively, it really worked. So, you never know. On Friday night, Frankie Muniz celebrated the premiere of Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, a revival series of the show that brought him fame. But hours after it debuted on Hulu and Disney+, Muniz was involved in a crash — in his Malcolm in the Middle decorated race truck. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racer crashed his F-150 truck in a wreck with Tyler Reif and Timmy Hill at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The incident took Muniz out of the race and damaged the themed vehicle. No serious injuries were reported.
