Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Fixes the Narrow Screen

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Fixes the Narrow Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide introduces a fresh perspective to foldable smartphones, tackling common user concerns such as narrow displays and limited functionality. With its wider outer screen, improved multitasking capabilities and upgraded hardware, this device aims to elevate the foldable smartphone experience. Here’s a closer look at the features that make the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide a standout in its category. Wider Display for Enhanced Usability A key highlight of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is its wider design, which significantly enhances everyday usability. The outer display now features a 5.4-inch screen with a practical aspect ratio, making tasks like texting, browsing and navigating apps feel more natural and intuitive, even when the device is folded. This improvement addresses one of the most common complaints about earlier foldable models: the narrow and less functional outer screen. When unfolded, the device reveals a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This tablet-like screen is ideal for productivity, offering ample space for multitasking, document editing and immersive media consumption. Whether you’re …

Market Leadership Is Narrow, Increasing Summer Risk

Market Leadership Is Narrow, Increasing Summer Risk

Market Leadership Is Narrow, Increasing Summer Risk Authored by Lance Roberts via RealInvestmentAdvice.com, 📈Technical Backdrop – Friday Selloff Tests The Tape The S&P 500 closed Friday at 7,408.50, surrendering Thursday’s historic first close above 7,500 with a 1.24% decline. The semiconductor names that powered the rally became the source of Friday’s selling. Intel fell 5%, Micron 4%, AMD 3%, and Nvidia 4.4%. From a purely technical standpoint, Friday’s reversal was the first real distribution day in three weeks and the mean-reversion signal we have been flagging. The deviation numbers are the story. At 7.0% above the 50-DMA (6,921) and 9.3% above the 200-DMA (6,780), the index is stretched to a degree that has preceded every meaningful pullback over the past two years. The RSI, however, tells a more nuanced story: at 67.15, it has already pulled back below the 70 overbought threshold. Friday’s selloff did real work in resetting the oscillator. The MACD, while still positive at +1.54, has narrowed significantly from the 40+ readings earlier in the week, with the signal line (148.10) now nearly converging with the MACD …

Nissan posts narrow profit for fiscal year, beats analysts’ estimates

Nissan posts narrow profit for fiscal year, beats analysts’ estimates

YOKOHAMA: Nissan on Wednesday (May 13) reported an operating profit of ¥58.0 billion (US$367.60 million) for the year that ended in March, as an improved cost performance and a one-off boost tied to US emissions regulations offset a hit from Washington’s tariffs. Analysts, according to an LSEG survey, expected the automaker to report a fiscal year loss of ¥60 billion. In the year-earlier period, it posted a profit of ¥69.8 billion. Nissan, like other carmakers, faces pressure from US tariffs, intense competition from Chinese electric vehicle makers in Europe and elsewhere, as well as higher material costs and supply risks from the US-Israeli war on Iran. CEO Ivan Espinosa is trying to return the automaker to growth after years of turmoil and is cutting jobs, manufacturing sites and the number of cars in its global line-up. The results were slightly better than the company’s forecast for a ¥50 billion profit that was released about two weeks ago. The company said US tariffs pushed down the full-year profit by ¥286 billion. For the current fiscal year, …

Alessia Russo and Hannah Hampton star for England in narrow win over Iceland – reaction

Alessia Russo and Hannah Hampton star for England in narrow win over Iceland – reaction

Hampton said she was just “doing her job” to try and preserve England’s slender lead. The goalkeeper told ITV Sport: “We know it’s tough. They put more bodies forward, more balls into dangerous areas, so it was nervy at the end but we got the job done.” When asked about her massive saves, she said: “It’s my job isn’t it really? Let’s be honest.  We’re in it as a team, I can’t be the one scoring goals but I can stop them, so we here we win ass a team and that’s what we pride ourselves on. “We’re a right pack, they call us, so Lessi [Alessia Russo] got a great finish at one end so I had to do my job at the other.” Hampton adds: “We would have liked to control the game a bit better than what we did, but we know that they have a lot of threat when they get momentum in their favour, a lot of balls in our box, and set pieces. We know there’s a real threat …

Democrats romp in Wisconsin Supreme Court race, narrow Georgia margins

Joe Timmerman | Wisconsin Watch | Getty Images Democrats romped to a 20 percentage point victory in a race for a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, while Republicans won a special election for a House seat in Georgia by a far less comfortable margin than in 2024. The elections Tuesday underscore strong headwinds for President Donald Trump and his Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, which could shift the balance of power in Washington and loosen Trump’s grip on power. Democratic-backed Appeals Court Judge Chris Taylor won a 10-year term on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, defeating conservative Appeals Court Judge Maria Lazar by roughly 20 percentage points, according to the Associated Press tally. The race was far more subdued than last year’s Supreme Court contest in Wisconsin, which turned into the most expensive state supreme court race in history after Tesla owner Elon Musk injected …

Thune: Republicans to keep GOP-only bill to fund border security ‘as narrow as possible’

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) said Thursday he suspects that Republicans will try to keep a GOP-only bill to fund border security operations “as narrow as possible” so Republicans can meet President Trump’s June 1 deadline to pass the bill. “Everybody is, I think, singularly focused … around the things we have to do… Source link

Valerie Foushee holds a narrow lead over challenger Nida Allam in the Democratic primary for North Carolina’s 4th Congressional district as ballots continue to be counted. In a race seen as an early test of whether Democratic voters desire generational change within the party, Foushee holds a lead of just over 1,000 votes with 99% of results in so far, according to the Associated Press. Under state law, provisional votes will be counted in the coming days in a district that includes Durham and Chapel Hill. If the election results end up within a 1% margin, Allam could request a recount. Successfully ousting an incumbent lawmaker is often extremely difficult and rare. However, there have been recent upsets in races as some voters are calling for new leaders and several sitting members of Congress face primary challengers this cycle. Allam, a 32-year-old Durham County Commissioner, is running to the …

Ireland look in decline as questions mount for Farrell after narrow Six Nations win over Italy

Ireland look in decline as questions mount for Farrell after narrow Six Nations win over Italy

Farrell preferred to accentuate the positives, noting the blooding of Edwin Edogbo and the return of Baloucoune. “The experience that some of these lads are getting is absolutely huge,” he said. “The lads that have been there and done that, they’ve been through this type of pressure and come out the other side and they’ve grown because of it. These lads that managed to do that today, to stand up tall, and that will certainly stand them in good stead. I’m delighted with the win against a very good Italian side.” There are plenty of questions piling up for Farrell. And with England away at Twickenham next weekend, they are only going to get louder.
