Former unregistered NDIS director faces 15-year jail term for alleged $858k misuse 

The former director of an Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider faces a possible 15-year jail term over the alleged misuse of $858,000 in company funds. The accused, Byson James Kete Turner (Byson James Kete Attrill-Green), is a former director of Links Support and Consulting Services Pty Ltd. (Links), an NDIS provider, and has been charged with offences relating to transactions involving gambling, lottery, and trading platforms.  Turner accused of diverting funds to alleged betting accounts The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) investigated Turner’s account activity.  As a result of the ASIC findings, Turner has been charged with eight counts of dishonestly using his position as a director to gain an advantage, each carrying a maximum penalty of 15 years’ imprisonment, and two counts of failing to attend compulsory ASIC examinations, each punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment.
