Marketing operating system Nectar Social raises $30M Series A led by Menlo

AI-powered marketing platform Nectar Social announced Thursday that it raised a $30 million Series A round led by Menlo Ventures and its Anthology Fund, which was created alongside Anthropic. The company, which officially exited stealth last year, is an agentic operating system for marketers. It told TechCrunch that it uses autonomous AI agents to help brands run “social activity, moderation, creator workflows, competitive intelligence and commerce conversations end-to-end.” It also has data partnerships with companies like Meta and Reddit that allows the Nectar agent pull and pool data into one place from various platforms, rather than brands needing to use different tools to manage different platforms. Nectar Social was founded by sisters Misbah and Farah Uraizee, ex-Meta employees. Sainsbury’s offering 50% off food staples — but only for some customers

Sainsbury’s has announced a huge saving offer for customers by slashing prices of kitchen staples by up to 50%. In a bid to draw customers away from its competitors, the supermarket giant is cutting prices on fruit, vegetables and fridge staples for its shoppers. However, to reap the benefits of the discounts, customers will need to have a Nectar card. The discounts will be available for Nectar cardholders from Sunday, January 25 to Tuesday, February 17, accounting to Retail Gazette. Discounts will be available in selected Sainsbury’s stores and online.  The announcement comes after searches for “value” increased by 50% week-on-week, according to the supermarket. Those  who are part of Sainsbury’s Nectar loyalty programme will be able to choose from over 30 discounted products, including fresh fruit and veg, and fridge essentials like yoghurt and cheese. Some of the fridge staple discounts include Lurpak Slightly Salted Butter, reduced to £2.37 with a loyalty card from £4.75 without a Nectar card.
