May Bank Holiday 2026 opening times for Home Bargains, B&M, Next and B&Q

This weekend is the early May Bank Holiday, meaning retailer opening times across the UK often change. Luckily, most stores are open on the Bank Holiday itself, however many are operating with slightly reduced hours. This also includes supermarkets. Shoppers are advised to check their local branch for exact opening hours. Their times may vary by store and location. The retailer said: “It’s got a full list of opening times for your local store, their facilities and contact details.” However, it seems most of its stores will be open on Monday, with shorter hours from 8am to 6pm. Opening times over the weekend remain the same, including 8am to 8pm on Saturday and 10:30am to 4:30pm on Sunday. B&M B&M stores are open on Bank Holiday Monday, typically operating with standard or slightly reduced hours.
