Apple to Upgrade These Two Devices With OLED Displays Later This Year

Apple plans to release iPad mini and MacBook Pro models with OLED displays this year, according to industry sources who spoke to South Korea’s ETNews. The current iPad mini and MacBook Pro models have LCD displays with either LED or mini-LED backlighting. The move to OLED technology would result in improved image quality, thanks to richer colors and higher contrast ratio with true blacks. Samsung will supply the OLED displays for both devices, the report said. All of the iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad Pro models that Apple sells today are already equipped with OLED displays, excluding refurbished models. Other new features rumored for the next iPad mini include an A19 Pro or an A20 Pro chip, a vibration-based speaker system, and a water-resistant design. Apple will likely announce the device in September or October this year. For the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, other new features rumored include M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, a touch screen, a Dynamic Island, and a thinner design. Apple reportedly plans to release the laptops towards the end …

Apple’s Foldable iPhone Will Have a Samsung-Made OLED Display

Apple’s Foldable iPhone Will Have a Samsung-Made OLED Display

Apple has agreed to source foldable OLED panels exclusively from Samsung for the next three years, reports The Elec. Apple will not use foldable panels from other display suppliers as part of the agreement, according to the Korea-based outlet. The company is said to have accepted the terms given the lack of viable alternative suppliers. This year, Apple is expected to release a book-style iPhone that unfolds to reveal an inner display similar in size to an iPad mini. Samsung has been a display pioneer in the foldable market, and it will reportedly supply Apple with foldable OLED panels equipped with CoE (Color filter on Encapsulation) technology, which removes the polarizer and forms a color filter layer on top of the encapsulation layer. Polarizers can cause cracking at bending points, making CoE a requirement for foldable devices. The screen will use the same M14 OLED materials as the iPhone 17 Pro Max instead of switching to something new. The choice is said to be based on reliability and lower costs – Apple is sticking with …

Samsung Frame Pro and OLED TV News: What You Need To Know in 2026

Samsung Frame Pro and OLED TV News: What You Need To Know in 2026

Samsung has pulled the wrapping off some of its most anticipated TVs for 2026, including its latest art-forward TVs, The Frame and The Frame Pro, and its premium OLED TVs, which include three series available in sizes from 42 inches up to a massive 83 inches. Here’s the lowdown on Samsung’s latest TV releases for 2026, including what I am excited about from the brand this year. Proper Framing Samsung’s Frame TVs, which use a matte screen to display art when you’re not watching your favorite shows and movies, will be offered in new sizes for 2026, and include an upgrade to its glare-resistant screen technology. The new Frame Pro leads things off as Samsung’s top-performing option in the series. The TV continues to be “the only Art TV with wireless transmission,” letting you send audio and video wirelessly from a Blu-ray player or gaming console from up to 30 feet away when connected to its wireless box. Samsung claims its glare-reduction tech has once again improved this year, which further refines the TV’s ability …

Samsung’s Best OLED TV Is 0 Off

Samsung’s Best OLED TV Is $300 Off

Samsung’s S95F QD-OLED is one of the best TVs we’ve ever tested. Its potent display provides brilliant brightness, vivid colors, and incredible contrast thanks to OLED’s ability to adjust each tiny point of light independently. This TV may be a 2025 model, but it’s still a premium screen, now priced lower than I’ve ever seen it. Right now, a 65-inch model is just $2,198 for Amazon’s Big Spring Deal, a $300 savings from earlier this month. Samsung’s S95F is different than any of the other best OLED TVs we tested last year because of its distinctive matte screen, which swallows up even direct glare better than any TV I’ve seen. As anyone with a bright living room can attest, that’s an important trait, and while the rival LG G5 provides deeper black levels, even that model can’t match the S95F’s glare reduction. (If you’ve got a darker room, the G5 is still my favorite TV overall.) Cutting reflections doesn’t matter much if the picture isn’t great, but as Samsung’s flagship display for 2025, this TV …
