Russian Black Sea Town Plunged Into Environmental Catastrophe After 4th Drone Strike On Oil Complex

Russia’s Tuapse on the Black Sea can’t catch a break as it has been hit by Ukrainian drones for the fourth time within only a month, after a series of devastating attacks in April which unleashed large fires. On Friday another fire broke out at a marine terminal in Tuapse after this latest Ukrainian drone strike, regional emergency officials have confirmed. Over 100 fire-fighting personnel are battling the blaze. Tuapse has already been under a state of emergency for several days, when a Ukrainian drone strike triggered a massive refinery fire, forcing evacuations and spilling oil into coastal waters. 2026 Vantor/NBC via Getty Images That prior fire was only extinguished Thursday, and only 24 hours later the next drone strike hit. The town there has already been facing environmental disaster, with even black rain reported due to the constant thick black smoke hanging high above. ADP Signals Best Job Gains In Almost 4 Months, As BLS Payrolls Plunged

For the four weeks ending February 21, 2026, ADP reports that private employers added an average of 15,500 jobs a week.  Employment gains reached their highest since Thanksgiving week last year, holding steady in February after five straight weeks of strengthening.  This positive labor market signal stands in the face of last week’s surprised plunge in non-farm payrolls – driven by a strike-triggered drop in Healthcare jobs and a huge revisions in the labor force as native workers suddenly disappeared. Combined with the ongoing strength of the jobless claims data, once could argue that the ‘no hire, no fire’ economy is edging back towards jobs growth. Source link

The trade deal between the European Union and the United States, reached on July 27, 2025, at Donald Trump’s Scottish golf resort, was widely seen across Europe as a collective humiliation. The US Supreme Court’s decision on Friday, February 20, to overturn a series of new tariffs imposed by Washington on its trading partners may lead the 27 EU member states to face even harsher treatment. For now, it opens a period of uncertainty that they could have done without. In this context, on Monday, the European Parliament decided it was best to wait before ratifying the deal signed last summer by Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, and the US president. “The situation is now more uncertain than ever,” explained Bernd Lange, chair of the International Trade Committee in the European Parliament, shortly after. Furthermore, the German lawmaker (SPD) warned that European exports to the …
