Amy Poehler interviewing Mindy Kaling about being a meme is a delight

Amy Poehler interviewing Mindy Kaling about being a meme is a delight

Being so famous you could send your friends a meme that’s actually you is the ultimate flex, according to Mindy Kaling. Interviewed by pal Amy Poehler on her podcast Good Hang, the star talks about her latest comedy Not Suitable for Work (with a guest question from the Hulu series’ star Avantika), and the pair chat about their shared rise to fame through improv, interning on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, their love for Saturday Night Live, and not agreeing on a capella. Best bit? Kaling and Poehler really get into all things The Office, of which Kaling wrote more episodes of than any other writer, and was the only woman in the writers room. Kaling talks about how she ended up playing the iconic Kelly Kapoor, and as promised, they chat about the fact that they’re both memes. “I love being a meme. It makes me feel young,” says Kaling. “Are you kidding me? It’s my dream,” responds Pohler. “I’ve actually been like, can I send people my own memes?” “Oh, do it. It’s …

All hail Amy Poehler, queen of podcasting goodness

All hail Amy Poehler, queen of podcasting goodness

Amy Poehler is that fun, easygoing friend who’s somehow good at everything she does. With the launch of the Good Hang podcast, the 54-year-old Parks and Recreation star has quickly amassed a devoted audience that continues to climb. After releasing the first episode in March of 2025, Good Hang has racked up 709,000 subscribers on YouTube, 2 million on Instagram, and 757,300 on TikTok. Plus, it won the inaugural award for Best Podcast at the Golden Globes. The format of each 60(ish)-minute episode is pretty straightforward: Poehler has a sit-down chat in a question-and-answer style that’s at once engaging and delightful. But the power of its success lies with Poehler herself. She is so enjoyable to watch (or listen to, depending on where you get your podcasts) and clearly loves learning about what lights people up. Mashable Trend Report In its first 52 weeks on the internet, the podcast has featured a parade of convivial, high-profile guests, including Michelle Obama, Ryan Coogler, and Gwyneth Paltrow, plus a steady stable of Poehler’s former co-stars and collaborators. …

Megyn Kelly Slams Amy Poehler After Golden Globes Best Podcast Win

It seems Megyn Kelly doesn’t agree with the winner of the best podcast award at the 2026 Golden Globes. Amy Poehler won the inaugural award at the ceremony Sunday night for her Good Hang podcast. However, not even 24 hours later, Kelly took to Monday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show to rip into the comedian and her interview-style podcast. “Amy Poehler won. That’s no shock, they gave it to one of their own,” Kelly said. “Yeah, tracks. And it’s because she really has a really, really insightful podcast, which you really feel enriched after watching. I mean, I’ve never watched it, but this is what I hear, and when I watch the clips, I thought, ‘My God, what am I missing?’” After showing a recent clip from the Good Hang podcast, with guest Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly added in a sarcastic tone, “They’re so relatable. They have busy lives. They get tired earlier, just like you, stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, just like you. Riveting, right? Well, maybe she won because of her insightful interviews — …

Amy Poehler Wins the Inaugural Best-Podcast Award at the 2026 Golden Globes

Amy Poehler is your podcast hostess with the mostest. Good Hang With Amy Poehler reigned supreme in the Golden Globes’ first-ever best-podcast category, beating out stiff competition like Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, and SmartLess. After an extended bit featuring host Nikki Glaser parodying Nicole Kidman’s AMC ads, a very loose Snoop Dogg introduced, for some reason, the award for best podcast. “Don’t be no stiff bitch, move around a little bit,” he ad-libbed before introducing the category. “Before podcasts, I was what you all listened to driving around in your cars,” he added, before threatening to get into the podcast game himself. After Snoop Dogg accidentally cursed and complained that he had been at the event too long, he finally announced that Poehler had taken home the trophy. “This is exactly how I pictured it,” Poehler said. “Snoop giving me the award.” The road to best podcast wasn’t like that of the other awards. After announcing the category in May, the Globes revealed that “the top 25 podcasts” would be eligible …
