I Play Rocky, which follows the making of the iconic Sylvester Stallone movie, arrived in heavyweight fashion to Las Vegas on Wednesday during Amazon MGM Studio’s CinemaCon presentation. Anthony Ippolito stars as a young Stallone in the drama, which tells the true Hollywood story of making Rocky — the tale of an unknown actor who bets on himself to become Rocky Balboa. Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film will open nationwide in theaters Nov. 20 following a limited release on Nov. 13; it’s just in time for Rocky‘s 50th anniversary, as the original was released Nov. 21, 1976.  Farrelly appeared on stage with Ippolito and several members of the young cast, as the director promised, “They’re going to blow you away.” They then kicked to some first-look footage, which sees Ippolito harnessing Stallone’s iconic raspy voice and explaining that he now goes by Mike because kids made fun of his name. “You don’t got the looks to be a movie star, you talk like you’ve got rocks in your mouth,” he’s told as he tries to become …

Utilising the James Webb space telescope(JWST), an international team has mapped the climate of rocky exoplanets with masses similar to Earth in the TRAPPIST-1 system. First discovered in 2000, TRAPPIST-1 is a red dwarf star and is thought to be about 3 billion years older than the Solar System. Further discoveries in 2016 and 2017 identified at least seven exoplanets in the star’s orbit, all likely tidally locked and with circular orbits between 1.5 and 19 days. At least four of the planets in TRAPPIST-1’s orbit- TRAPPIST-1d, TRAPPIST-1e TRAPPIST-1f and TRAPPIST-1g- are considered potentially hospitable to life, as their orbital distance allows the existence of liquid water, although there is no evidence of atmospheres on any of the planets in the system. The two planets studied, TRAPPIST-1b and TRAPPIST-1c, are believed to have temperatures differences at day and night in excess of 500 degrees Celsius and so likely do not have atmospheres. “The TRAPPIST-1 system is incredible! Unruly salt-and-pepper hair in a long quaff, round glasses and broad smile give James Ortiz the look of a whimsical inventor, the kind that hides away in his workshop crafting extraordinary artifacts. That description is essentially true; as a puppet designer and puppeteer, his job entails figuring out how to materialize figments of the imagination. “I love playing characters that are so unbelievable that they have to exist in a different way,” says Ortiz on a video call from New York. “I love over-the-top characters and creatures.” For more than 15 years, Ortiz has created puppets for theater projects in New York City, including those for “Into the Woods” on Broadway. Rocky Carroll didn’t see his last episode of NCIS until it aired. But Carroll — who has played NCIS Director Leon Vance on the CBS series since 2008 — didn’t watch the March 24 episode alone. “I was at a Screen Actors Guild screening in New York City with 150 total strangers. With a beloved statue of Rocky Balboa being moved from the bottom of the Philadelphia Museum of Art‘s steps to its top, the Philadelphia Art Commission has officially selected a replacement artwork: a monument to Joe Frazier, an actual Philadelphian boxer (unlike Rocky, who is fictional). The Frazier statue is currently exhibited outside the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia, where the monument has been located since 2015. Before the art commission formally approved the plan on Wednesday, city officials argued that it could offer a chance for Frazier to assume greater visibility in Philadelphia, where Rocky, a character who was created for the titular film series, can hog the spotlight in the eyes of tourists. TESERO, Italy, Feb 7 : U.S. cross-country skier Jessie Diggins crashed early during the women’s skiathlon on Saturday, dashing hopes for a podium in the first race of her fourth and final Olympics. The 34-year-old fell in the classic stage of the race after a few minutes while skiing down a steep hill that also claimed other victims later in the competition.  The 20-km race is split between classic and freestyle skiing, also known as skate skiing. “I had a crash on the first lap where my tip just disappeared in the slush, and unfortunately, it was a tough spot where you lose all your momentum,” Diggins told reporters. “I was struggling with things that were out of my control on the classic half, but on the skate half I was really encouraged by that.”  The crash also took out Norway’s Karoline Simpson-Larsen, who had been considered a medal contender.  Diggins clawed back from 14th to finish eighth during the skate portion, while Simpson-Larsen ended up 13th. “You just get furious that an Olympic debut …
