Jeremy Clarkson Hits Back After Chris Packham Slates Clarkson's Farm On Gogglebox

Jeremy Clarkson Hits Back After Chris Packham Slates Clarkson's Farm On Gogglebox

Jeremy Clarkson Jeremy Clarkson has responded after TV presenter Chris Packham made recent digs at his show, Clarkson’s Farm. In his latest column for The Sun, the former Top Gear star addressed Packham’s comments about Clarkson’s Farm, which he’d made on Celebrity Gogglebox earlier this month. While watching Clarkson’s docuseries’ opening titles, the naturalist and Springwatch host insisted: “Already, right, that’s not what a farm looks like. “Most farms are horrible monocultures which have been sprayed with deadly chemicals, time and time again, the ground pumped full of fertiliser, and loads of the animals are indoors – in crates, being crushed and kept in the dark.” He added: “That’s an idealistic view of a farm, and it puts the wrong idea in people’s minds. And that’s only the titles!” Clarkson had his say on the matter in his latest column, writing: “The endlessly angry Chris Packham went on Gogglebox this week and erupted in blind fury about the Winnie the Pooh-ish opening credits to my farming programme. “Now, of course this kind of stuff plays well in a room full …

Slate’s Gray ,000 Truck Just Got a Crayola Makeover

Slate’s Gray $25,000 Truck Just Got a Crayola Makeover

Slate Auto, the Bezos-backed carmaker building America’s cheapest electric truck, is teaming up with Crayola on five vehicle wraps. It is apparently the crayon company’s first-ever automotive partnership, yet it neatly fits Slate’s basic pitch: a gray, unpainted truck designed from the start to be wrapped rather than sprayed to keep costs down. The five searingly bright colored wraps—Cerulean, Fern, Jersey Tomato, Razzmatazz, and Dandelion—are pulled from Crayola’s existing crayon lineup, meaning that, yes, prospective owners will have to spec that they want a hot-pink Razzmatazz Slate (WIRED’s pick). Each comes as a starter pack with decals, complete with a color-coordinated key-fob cap and a clip-on dashboard accessory Slate calls a “Slatelet.” The packs will sell through Slate’s own online marketplace, alongside the more than 200 other accessories the company already offers. The Bezos-Backed Slate is resplendent in Dandelion yellow. Courtesy of Slate The basic “blank” Slate truck starts at $24,950, a price that has already made it the cheapest new truck on the US market. The EV ships with a single gray composite body, …

Slate’s electric truck can still dip under ,000 — but only for some

Slate’s electric truck can still dip under $20,000 — but only for some

Slate Auto’s electric truck now starts at $24,950, but some buyers will still drive one home for under $20,000 thanks to state-level EV rebates. The catch is that those discounts depend heavily on where you live and how much you earn — and several of them may not apply to Slate at all. The $20,000 promise that didn’t survive When Slate emerged from stealth in April 2025 with a sub-$20,000 electric pickup, that price was the entire story. The bare-bones, two-seat truck with hand-crank windows and no infotainment screen became an instant phenomenon, racking up more than 100,000 reservations within weeks. But the “under $20,000” figure always carried an asterisk: it assumed the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. That credit was eliminated under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, effective September 30, 2025, and the sub-$20,000 promise went with it. Slate’s EV pickup endures slushy winter testing [Video]

Young American EV startup, Slate Auto, has shared its latest video update, and it’s a chilly one. The company’s development prototypes were recently put through extreme winter testing in Northern Michigan, where, in true Slate fashion, the team had some fun while making great progress. See the video below. I love getting updates from Slate Auto, don’t you? The young EV startup only burst onto the scene a year ago and is ever closer to delivering its flagship “Bare Slate” electric pickup to customers by the end of 2026. That’s a lightning fast turnaround, but its made possible in part by the core of the Slate’s design – simplified and built tough, without any frills, bells or whistles. Hell, the truck doesn’t even have a sound system, although future owners will be able to install a bluetooth speaker in the dash. Anyways, aside from its streamlined design, its Slate’s team that appears to be at the root of its early developmental success. The winter testing video below, posted by Slate this week, is a perfect …
