Tennessee’s only licensed sportsbook shuts its doors, thanking users for their play and loyalty

Tennessee’s only licensed sportsbook shuts its doors, thanking users for their play and loyalty

Tennessee Action 24/7 has announced it will cease operations, effective immediately, thanking its users for their loyalty. The sportsbook, the only one officially licensed in Tennessee, has shared an update on its website that no more bets will be accepted as it closes its doors for good. Any wagers already placed will be honored. As the only Tennessee-owned sportsbook, Tennessee Action 24/7 noted that 90% of its funds invested were from Tennesseans, thanking its users and those across the state for their “confidence and support.” No reason has been given for the closure in the company’s statement. Back in 2021, Tennessee Action 24/7 had its license indefinitely suspended for suspicious player deposit activity. However, there’s no evidence that this closure is related to license suspensions. “We are proud to have served our friends and neighbors as the only Tennessee-owned and operated licensed online sportsbook for the past five years,” the company wrote in its statement. “Thank you for your play. Thank you for your loyalty. Over 90 percent of funds invested in the company were …

Missouri senator blocks Kansas City Chiefs from running a sportsbook ahead of stadium move

Missouri Senator Nick Schroer has filed legislation that would block the Kansas City Chiefs from operating a sportsbook in the state. This comes after the football team confirmed plans to move into a new stadium across the state border in Kansas. Senator Schroer’s SJR 109 was pre-filed on December 31 and proposes a constitutional amendment to remove the Chiefs from the official list of teams legally allowed to run sportsbooks. State Sen. Nick Schroer said he will be filing legislation this week “to get rid of the asinine classification of the Chiefs as Missouri's official NFL team" and will work to get rid of "the asinine ‘handshake’ border-war resolution" with Kansas. #moleghttps://t.co/aqnYJJ9WSZ — Jason Hancock (@J_Hancock) December 22, 2025 While it’s still pending approval by the Senate and the House, the bill would go up for vote among the citizens of Missouri, likely either in the November 2026 general election or at an election held for this issue in particular.
