How targeting of desalination plants could disrupt water supply in the Gulf | US-Israel war on Iran News

Bahrain has said an Iranian drone attack caused material damage to a water desalination plant in the country, marking the first time a Gulf nation has reported targeting any such facility during the eight days of the war between Iran and the US and Israel. The attack on Sunday comes a day after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island in southern Iran was attacked by the United States. Recommended Stories list of 3 itemsend of list “Water supply in 30 villages has been impacted. Attacking Iran’s infrastructure is a dangerous move with grave consequences. The US set this precedent, not Iran,” he said on X on Saturday. While Tehran has not yet commented on the Bahrain attack, it has raised questions about the vulnerability of the Gulf countries, which depend on desalination plants for the majority of their water supply. How important are water desalination plants to the Gulf region? Can water security in the Gulf be guaranteed amid a widening of military targets to include energy and …

Russia Giving Iran Targeting Intelligence Of American Warships, Aircraft: US Officials

The Trump-ordered US-Israeli attack on Iran is continuing to create an array of ‘unknowns’ while steadily drawing in outside powers, with the most significant Friday development being The Washington Post reporting that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence on the locations of US military assets in the Middle East, including warships and aircraft. US officials described the effort as “a pretty comprehensive effort” by Moscow, though the accuracy of the intelligence remains unclear – the paper admits. What follows is the money quote: “Russia is providing Iran with targeting information to attack American forces in the Middle East, the first indication that another major US adversary is participating – even indirectly – in the war, according to three officials familiar with the intelligence.” Russian Foreign Ministry image/Flickr The report cites three officials familiar with the intelligence, who spoke about the support on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue. “The targeting information has included the locations of American warships and aircraft in the Middle East, the officials said,” WaPo writes. A couple of contextual issues: it remains that the ‘fog of war’ …

Trump Straight-Out Says Which Country He’s Targeting Next

Trump Straight-Out Says Which Country He’s Targeting Next

Cuba appears to be next on Donald Trump’s hit list. The president appeared to suggest US-assisted regime change in the communist-run Caribbean island is on his agenda during a speech Thursday while hosting Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates at the White House to celebrate the club’s MLS Cup victory. Trump began his remarks — with the players standing behind him — by giving an update on the Iran war. While thanking the alleged “phenomenal people” involved in the military operations, Trump turned to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was in the audience, to praise his “fantastic job” and also his “fantastic job on a place called Cuba.” Rubio’s parents fled Fidel Castro’s regime for America and he has been one of Washington’s most outspoken critics of the island’s leaders. But what’s happening with Cuba is amazing. And we think that we want to fix, finish, this one first. But that will be just a question of time before you and a lot of unbelievable people are going to be …

Baltimore sues sweepstake operators alleging illegal online gambling targeting residents

The City of Baltimore has launched a wide-ranging lawsuit against several companies behind popular online “social casino” platforms or sweepstakes, accusing them of operating illegal gambling businesses that pull in money from local residents while presenting themselves as harmless entertainment. The complaint, reviewed by ReadWrite, was filed Wednesday (March 4) in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. It names a group of well-known sweepstakes casino operators, including Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, McLuck Casino, Pulsz Casino, Stake.us, High 5 Games, and Fortune Coins. City officials claim those platforms have taken millions of dollars from players in Baltimore through online casino-style games that Maryland law does not permit. "Defendants do not offer a novel product that merely resembles gambling. They operate the same slot machines, blackjack tables, and roulette wheels found in licensed casinos—games for which the addictive potential is well-documented." pic.twitter.com/uyWdgbxYd3 — Daniel Wallach (@WALLACHLEGAL) March 4, 2026 Maryland currently allows casino gambling only at six licensed brick-and-mortar casinos. State regulators have never approved real-money online casino games. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency has …

Dozens of arrests as police seize weapons, drugs, cash and luxury goods in raids targeting drug supply in Liverpool | UK News

The 7am wake-up call on Stanley Road in Liverpool came courtesy of the screech of a police angle-grinder and a shower of sparks. As officers cut their way through a heavy metal gate, sleepy faces peered from behind curtains in neighbouring houses. When the gate finally gave way, dozens of officers swarmed through and began to batter their way into a row of heavily-secured flats. A suite of government hacking tools targeting iPhones is now being used by cybercriminals

A suite of government hacking tools targeting iPhones is now being used by cybercriminals

Security researchers have identified a suite of powerful hacking tools capable of compromising iPhones running older software that they say has passed from a government customer into the hands of cybercriminals. Google said Tuesday that it first identified the exploit kit, dubbed Coruna, in February 2025 during a surveillance vendor’s attempt to hack into someone’s phone with spyware on behalf of a government customer. It found the same exploit kit months later targeting Ukrainian users in a broad-scale campaign by a Russian espionage group, and then later found it used by a financially motivated hacker in China. It’s unclear how the tools leaked or proliferated, but Google security researchers warned of an emerging market for “secondhand” exploits, which are sold to hackers motivated by money to extract more value out of the exploit. The discovery also shows how exploits and back doors designed to be used by governments can leak and ultimately be abused by cybercriminals or other non-state actors. Mobile security company iVerify obtained and reverse-engineered the hacking tools, saying in a blog post …

SpaceX Readies IPO Paperwork For March, Targeting .75 Trillion Valuation

SpaceX Readies IPO Paperwork For March, Targeting $1.75 Trillion Valuation

SpaceX is preparing to confidentially file for an initial public offering as early as next month, people familiar with the matter said, advancing plans for what could become the largest listing ever, according to Bloomberg. The Starbase, Texas-based rocket and satellite company is expected to submit draft IPO paperwork to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in March, potentially positioning it for a June debut. That timing would make it the first in a possible wave of mega-offerings, with OpenAI and Anthropic PBC possibly following. Deliberations are ongoing and plans could shift, the people cautioned, noting the filing could still be postponed. Bloomberg writes that some of the people said SpaceX may pursue a valuation above $1.75 trillion, speaking anonymously because discussions are private. The company recently acquired xAI, Elon Musk’s AI venture, in a February deal valuing the combined business at $1.25 trillion, Bloomberg News reported. A confidential filing would allow SpaceX to receive regulatory feedback and revise disclosures before they are made public. A representative for the company did not immediately comment. The …

Mexican Drug Cartel Targeting Evangelical Churches – OpentheWord.org

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico Credit: Jezael Melgoza, unspash.com You were probably shocked as I was by the videos pouring out of Mexico of vehicles and buildings being set on fire by members of drug cartels. This included popular vacation spots like Puerto Vallarta where tourists were stranded as airports closed down. It was the cartel’s violent reaction to the death of “El Mencho”, Rubén Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. He led one of Mexico’s largest and most violent drug cartels, Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). But what many don’t know is that CJNG was also attacking Evangelical churches across Mexico. The violent outburst started after El Mencho was killed in a battle with the Mexican army, on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The American government provided the necessary intel leading to his capture and death. Because he kept a low profile, El Mencho’s movements had been difficult to track. But he had recently contracted kidney disease. The purchase of equipment and medication served as a crumb trail to the gang leader’s location. In the raid, the Mexican government …
