Amazon Discussing Potential ‘Apprentice’ Reboot

It looks like The Apprentice might be making a comeback. The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon is discussing a potential reboot of The Apprentice, the reality TV show once hosted by Donald Trump before he went into politics and became the president of the United States. Talks are reportedly in the early stages and the Trump family hasn’t been approached about the idea yet. People close to the matter also told the WSJ that Amazon executives have suggested internally that Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., could potentially serve as the host of the reboot. “Since our acquisition of MGM, we have had preliminary internal discussions about what’s next for ‘The Apprentice’ as a property,” an Amazon spokesman told the WSJ. They also clarified that the potential reboot isn’t in active development. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Amazon for more details, as well as the White House for comment. It’s been a busy few months for The Apprentice star Karren Brady, who showed off an incredible all-blue look ahead of the BBC final on Thursday.  Karren, who has been Lord Sugar’s trusted advisor on the show since 2010, took to Instagram to share a couple of snaps of her co-ordinating look, which featured an amazing cerulean blue tank top and trousers. Viewers who tuned into the latest episode of The Apprentice on Thursday night took to social media after noticing a change to the show’s format.  The long-running BBC series, which debuted its 20th season in January, sees 20 candidates compete for a chance to secure Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment in their business plan, as well as his mentorship.  © BBC/Naked (A Freemantle Label)Viewers noticed that the winning teams have not been rewarded Over the course of the series, the candidates are split into teams and set weekly tasks, all designed to test their skills in negotiation, sales, marketing and leadership. The losing team faces Lord Sugar and his formidable advisors Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell, who have been keeping a watchful eye over the teams and making notes on their performance during the tasks.
