Coronation Street casts former Hollyoaks star in new Sally and Tim story

Former Hollyoaks star Nathan Sussex is joining the cast of Coronation Street. The actor, who played sex offender Buster Smith in Hollyoaks between 2018 and 2021, will join the ITV soap as a relative of Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine). This news, reported by Metro, comes after executive producer Kate Brooks teased a “massive story” for Tim and wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) earlier this year. “It’s a story that tests them as people, tests them as a couple, but tests them as foster parents as well,” she revealed at an event attended by Radio Times. “It’s a bit of a curveball and it comes from slightly left field, but absolutely upends their lives. It’s how they navigate that situation going forward.” ” alt=”Nathan Sussex, holding a football under his arm, alongside two other Hollyoaks actors” classes=””] Nathan Sussex (pictured right, in a scene from Hollyoaks) is heading to the cobbles. Lime Pictures Brooks continued: “Sally and Tim are so beloved and I just adore them. Amanda Seyfried, Scoot McNairy Go Dark in Tim Blake Nelson’s New Film

After every acting job, Scoot McNairy likes to get a haircut, head to the store to buy some new t-shirts, and wash off whatever portrayal he’s just come out of as he prepares for the next. With The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, after the actor took on the most intense leading role of his career, the impulse was stronger than ever: “I do remember adamantly wanting to get a haircut after this job,” he says with a laugh in his first conversation about the film, which sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter will premiere later this year. “It hit me for a while — and still hits me now when we talk about it.”  It tracks that Wilson Shedd is directed by a great actor in Tim Blake Nelson, who’s also helmed features like The Grey Zone and Leaves of Grass over his decades in the business. The movie is a major showcase for its stars — McNairy, known for supporting turns in films like Argo and A Complete Unknown, doing transformative work …

DHS Deports Convicted Child Rapist Gov. Tim Walz Pardoned

DHS Deports Convicted Child Rapist Gov. Tim Walz Pardoned

The Department of Homeland Security deported Tou Lue Vang on Friday, the Laotian national Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz pardoned last month in an effort to keep him in the country. Vang, 42, entered the United States illegally and built a life in Minnesota that included, by his own admission, sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty in 2006 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct after admitting he abused the girl over four years, starting in 2002. When police arrested him in 2005, he offered no denial. Instead, he told investigators that marrying and having sex with girls as young as 12 was a cultural practice. The Department of Homeland Security said Vang also offered his victim $10 to stay quiet while the abuse continued. By pleading guilty, Vang avoided prison, but lost legal status. A judge issued him a final removal order in October 2006, and under any normal enforcement regime, that would have been the end of the story. Instead, Vang stayed in the country for nearly two decades, until Trump administration agents caught …

“But in actual fact, the reality is that British tennis is in a way better position than it was 10 or 15 years ago. On the women’s side, you’ve got Mika Stojsavljevic (17 years old), you’ve got Hannah Klugman (17), and Mimi Xu (18). They are outstanding prospects. Source link

Out from his father’s shadow, Tim Weah is making a name for himself on the U.S. national team

Out from his father’s shadow, Tim Weah is making a name for himself on the U.S. national team

Tim sat for this interview in May, for a profile to run during the tournament. His parents were rummaging around upstairs somewhere. They’d both sit with the reporter when Tim was finished. Every one of these stories seemed to come with the same tagline, though. “I always hear them say, ‘Timothy Weah, son of George Weah,’” Clar Weah, Tim’s mother, said. “I’ve heard it so many times: ‘Son of George Weah.’” Maybe that’s because George has had an outsize impact on his son’s career. Tim certainly inherited his soccer talent from his father. According to family lore, Tim started kicking a ball when he was barely 1 year old. Not just any ball, either — a soccer ball designed for 12-year-olds. “I said, ‘Oh, this could be interesting,’” George said. As a preteen, Tim started training with an elite New York-area club team. George saw enough potential that, when the boy was 13, he helped connect Tim with Chelsea of the English Premier League, one of his former teams, about possible entry into its youth …

Tim Dowling: Help! I’m being held hostage by a car salesman | Family

It is a rainy Monday morning and my wife and I are in a car dealership about a mile from home, walking around a shiny new vehicle and peering into its windows. “It looks bigger than our car,” she says. “That’s probably because it’s indoors,” I say. “Imagine how much bigger our car would look if we parked it in the kitchen.” I keep glancing at the time on my phone – we’ve already been here for over an hour, and all because six months ago I casually suggested we should probably consider getting an electric car at some point. I still find it difficult to comprehend the extent to which this is my fault. double quotation mark Standing by while the trade-in value of your vehicle is assessed is not my idea of a good time The last time we bought a car – in Exeter, where our previous car had chosen to die – the man at the dealership refused to believe we were serious buyers. He suspected we were holidaymakers killing time …

What Infowars will be like with Tim Heidecker at the helm

What Infowars will be like with Tim Heidecker at the helm

After satirical paper The Onion bought right-wing conspiracy site Infowars, it faced legal obstacles — but now the people behind it say they’re launching a new Infowars and sidestepping the courts. The founder of Infowars, Alex Jones, declared bankruptcy in 2022 following defamation lawsuits from families of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting, which Jones claimed was a hoax. He was ordered to pay them $1.3 billion in damages, and The Onion won an auction bid for Infowars in 2024 — but a judge swiftly blocked the sale. SEE ALSO: Chat, are we cooked? A guide to internet slang in 2026. Then, in April 2026, The Onion announced a new way to buy the outlet: a licensing deal that would allow The Onion to publish on Infowars’ site and start paying the Sandy Hook families. But that has faced legal challenges too, MS NOW reported, and The Onion has decided not to wait for the courts to relaunch the website. “Alex is holding Infowars.com hostage,” CEO of The Onion, Ben Collins, told MS NOW. “He’s trying to intentionally …
