The shirt is a “symbol of part of the emotional heritage of our club and what it stands for”, Marian Mourino Terrazo wrote in the letter. She posted the letter on her Instagram page and that of the club, which is based in Vigo, Galicia, Wednesday. Terrazo began her note by asking the singer “for your help with something that means a great deal to us”. She said that on July 29, 1990, Madonna performed live at the club’s stadium, Balaidos, where she wore the team’s sky blue-coloured shirt. open image in gallery Williot Swedberg of Celta Vigo celebrates scoring his team’s first goal with teammates Iago Aspas …

Oscars Flashback: What Heath Ledger, Reese Witherspoon, and Meryl Streep Wore On the Oscars 2006 Red Carpet

Oscars Flashback: What Heath Ledger, Reese Witherspoon, and Meryl Streep Wore On the Oscars 2006 Red Carpet

Trends may change from year to year, but some things—like black dresses, red lipstick, and Meryl Streep—are never out of place on the red carpet at the Oscars. Just as all of the glam above will almost certainly appear at the Oscars 2026 on Sunday, March 15, they were all present on the Oscars red carpet 20 years ago. The awards ceremony itself was full of surprises, from all four major acting winners—Reese Witherspoon, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel Weisz, and George Clooney—being first-time nominees, Crash pulling off a best picture upset over awards season favorite Brokeback Mountain, and more. Not a surprise, however, was the outstanding style attendees displayed on the red carpet two decades ago. Nobody wears a classic black tux like Clooney, as he once again demonstrated in 2006, and Michelle Williams, attending on the arm of Brokeback Mountain costar and then-partner Heath Ledger, another master of menswear, could wear her canary yellow Vera Wang gown with artful tulle ruffles and an elegant train today, and nobody would bat an eye. Jennifer Aniston …

See What the Oscars 2026 Nominees Wore to Their First Academy Awards

They say that you never forget your first…outfit worn to the Oscars, that is. For many stars, the Oscars 2026 will mark their Academy Awards debut. Good for them! But many of the Oscars 2026 nominees have also been around the block—or should we say, down the red carpet—a time or two before, whether their first time attending the ceremony was just a few years ago or as far back as a few decades ago. For example, this may be the first time that Michael B. Jordan has been nominated, for his dual roles in Sinners, but he attended his first Oscars in 2014 after his breakout turn in Fruitvale Station. He stepped out in a classic Givenchy tux to celebrate his first collaboration with director Ryan Coogler. Jessie Buckley has earned critical praise and fan buzz, not to mention a lead-acting nod, for her work in Hamnet. Her first time at the Oscars, in 2022, also marked her first nomination, that one in the supporting category for The Lost Daughter. The Irish actor reached …

David Beckham Wore an Ultra-Rare Rolex Daytona to the Lakers Game

A few lucky fans were in for a treat at the BAFTA Film Awards 2026 when a tuxedoed Leonardo DiCaprio—nominated for Best Actor for his turn in One Battle After Another—took the time to sign autographs for them. An autograph is great, of course, but to a watch enthusiast, it pales in comparison to DiCaprio’s Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Le Mans” ref. 126529LN. The first “Le Mans” Daytona, it debuted in 2023 to celebrate a century of racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and was quickly retired, replaced with a yellow-gold reference. Collectors love the vintage-inspired “exotic” numerals in the sub-registers that recall the “Paul Newman” executions of the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s, plus the special 24-hour counter that replaces the more typical 12-hour register and tracks a full day and night of racing. Pierce Brosnan’s Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Ex-007 Pierce Brosnan is likely the only guy you’ll see rocking the rather obscure Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945, which only makes it that much more interesting. Housed in a 32mm yellow gold case with strong, downturned, …

Living with hyperphantasia: ‘I remember the clothes people wore the day we met, the things they said word-for-word’ | Psychology

I close my eyes and picture a boat making its way towards the mainland. Lit only by moonlight, a silhouette walks towards a post box and mails three letters, one by one. Then, the familiar tune of ABBA’s Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) starts to play, and the musical begins. Sometimes as a child I had trouble falling asleep. But from age 11 and through my early teenage years, recreating the film Mamma Mia! in my head frame-by-frame was my remedy. Running each line of dialogue through my mind and bringing to life the colour of the characters’ clothes, usually by the time they arrive flustered from their journey, I would drift off. Almost 20 years after my Mamma Mia!-assisted sleep therapy, I’ve learned not everyone can replay scenes – real or imagined – in such vivid detail. It is a nearly impossible task to objectively describe how one thinks, and how our unique way of thinking may be different to others. But my ability to picture the exact blue of the sea …

King Charles just wore father Prince Philip’s jacket from the 50s as ‘the show carries on’

King Charles just wore father Prince Philip’s jacket from the 50s as ‘the show carries on’

King Charles was seen leaving his church in Gloucestershire on Sunday, 22 February, putting on a brave face during this difficult time for the British royal family, but it seems that he also used his clothing to keep the simpler times close to heart. The monarch was seen walking beside the vicar, wearing a blue shirt with a navy and red tie, but it was his beige overcoat that especially caught our attention, as it’s actually a piece with some history in the family. King Charles wearing his father’s coat in 2023 Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s son has worn the coat on multiple occasions in the past, including to the Palm Sunday service in 2023 in Gloucestershire, and it’s a sweet way of keeping his father’s memory close to his heart. The late Duke of Edinburgh wore his coat on many occasions, including several public engagements such as an appearance at the Badminton Horse Trials with his wife in 1956, meaning that the coat is at least 70 years old. The Quad God Wore Screenprinted Balmain Jeans on Olympic Ice

The wardrobe of male professional figure skating has long offered a limited, albeit festive selection: crotch-hugging athletic trousers, vibrant, hand-embellished leotards, and flouncy, tucked-in shirts. But during the closing weekend of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, the options expanded to include designer drip, courtesy of one Ilia Malinin. Malinin—or the “Quad God,” as he has become known for his ability to land extremely difficult quadruple jumps—skated onto the rink looking a lot like an average American teenager. (One with a generous allowance and a playlist full of Drain Gang, that is.) The Virginia-born figure skater wore a gray hoodie printed with the word “Fear”—a piece of merch for the Michigan-born Christian rapper NF, whose song Malinin would be skating to—and a pair of $1,300 Balmain trompe l’œil-printed jeans with the brand’s iconic biker denim from the 2010s. He also wore bright yellow laces: a gift from Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, who often dons yellow laces himself. I Wore a Suit Every Day for a Month. Here’s What I Learned

I Wore a Suit Every Day for a Month. Here’s What I Learned

Last year, I did Dry January. I’m happy I did it, so that I never have to do it again. Of course, alcohol is best enjoyed in healthy moderation and good company. But corralled into the corner of a bar, with a friend of a friend of a friend recounting their grad school application process directly into my ear, I wanted something stronger than soda water and bitters. I have heard many Dry January believers explain why they do it. (How could you not? Lunchroom Army recruiters are subtler with their approach.) And I suspect that the benefits people claim from Dry January, such as feeling good in the morning and focusing at work, can be achieved without forgoing alcohol. You just have to wear a suit every day. I think I got the idea from my father, who wore a suit every day for his whole career. There are many differences to how we work: he works at a big company, I’m a freelancer; he goes to an office, I work remotely; he sits …

The Common Design Flaw In Bras That Probably Wouldn’t Happen If Men Wore Them

The Common Design Flaw In Bras That Probably Wouldn’t Happen If Men Wore Them

There are certain annoyances women are just forced to accept, specifically the abysmal design of bras. Framed as being unfixable, one woman took to Reddit to point out that if men were forced to wear bras, chances are high they would be a whole lot more comfortable than they are. Her specific gripe? The inevitable and common occurrence of the underwire in bras somehow breaking free of their seams and stabbing our delicate skin, usually during a time of day when we don’t have the option of simply taking our bras off. Women have been wearing the modern bra design since around 1914, and you would think in those 112 years, modern technology would have designed and developed something not only supportive but incredibly comfortable. No such luck. The common design flaw in bras that probably wouldn’t happen if men wore them. “I’ve already patched this once, and the wire has now come through the patch — the bra is only a few months old. Surely this is a design flaw? Why do these things …
