Noah Wyle steps out with lookalike daughter to celebrate major milestone

Noah Wyle was glowing with pride as he stepped out at the premiere of his daughter’s new film, Vanishing Tour, in support of her first major movie role.  The Pitt star looked dapper in a gray suit with a button-up shirt underneath, paired with brown dress shoes and stylish sunglasses. His 20-year-old daughter, Auden, was stunning in a burgundy leather minidress with a high neckline and ruching around the waist. She accessorized with burgundy pantyhose, knee-high boots, leather gloves and a matching clutch, and wore her long brunette hair down in loose waves. At the premiere event in Los Angeles, Noah and Auden were pictured with her co-star in the film, Mina Tobias, who is the daughter of Twin Peaks and Riverdale actress Mädchen Amick.  © GC ImagesNoah came to support his daughter at her film premiere Auden later shared insight into the fun-filled night out with her dad, taking to Instagram to write: “I couldn’t love these people more, what a night. Forever grateful to have been your Clara.” Her mother, Tracy Warbin, took to the comment section to share the …

Noah Wyle, Kit Harington, Charlie Hunnam and Drama Actor Roundtable

Noah Wyle, Kit Harington, Charlie Hunnam and Drama Actor Roundtable

Not too long ago, Noah Wyle was out to dinner when an elderly couple approached. “We love the show,” the exchange began. Then came the request: “I just had knee surgery,” said the woman. “Would you mind taking a look?” According to the Pitt star, she rolled up her pant leg right there, and Wyle assessed the incision. After all, he’s played a doctor for well over a decade, first on ER and, now, on the Emmy-winning HBO Max drama. That Wyle has no actual medical credentials didn’t seem to matter. Turns out, being conflated with the characters one plays is not uncommon, at least for the TV stars gathered at THR‘s Drama Actors Emmy Roundtable. That group, which also included Charlie Hunnam (Monster), Richard Gadd (Half Man), Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story), Kit Harington (Industry) and Tom Hiddleston (The Night Manager), discussed this and much more on a late April morning at The Georgian Hotel. What’s the craziest thing you’ve all done to land or prep for a gig? Charlie, did I hear you …

‘The Pitt’ Star Noah Wyle Defends Dr. Robby’s Fall From Grace

‘The Pitt’ Star Noah Wyle Defends Dr. Robby’s Fall From Grace

Noah Wyle gets interrupted during our interview when someone from his team walks in with a prosthetic leg. It’s the one used in the sixth episode of The Pitt’s second season, which the actor directed, when a guy has a motorcycle accident that rips open his leg. As he holds it up to the camera so I can get a good look, a big smile spreads across his face. It’s just another day in the life of Wyle, who not only stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch on the hit HBO series, but is also one of the creative forces behind the series—producing, writing, and sometimes directing. When we speak, he’s deep in the writing process for season three. “What’s the opposite of fresh as a daisy?” he jokes about his current state of mind. He’s playing hooky from the writers room to talk to me, but the show is at the forefront of his mind. “Storylines are going up on the board. We have a good concept for everybody’s story arc and we’re about …

Get the latest entertainment news, reviews and star-studded interviews with our Independent Culture email Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter The Pitt star Sepideh Moafi has shut down speculation that there is any beef between her and co-star Noah Wyle. Moafi, 40, joined HBO Max’s Emmy-winning medical drama in season two as Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, an interim replacement for Wyle’s hospital attending physician, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, while he goes on sabbatical. The two doctors constantly butt heads over patient treatment and working styles, leaving Dr. Robby hesitant to hand his emergency room over to Dr. Al-Hashimi. In the season two finale, Dr. Al-Hashimi reveals she’s been struggling with a seizure disorder, forcing Dr. Robby to give her an ultimatum: disclose her condition to the hospital board, or he will report her. The tense relationship between the characters has sparked fervent fan rumors that there is a rift between the actors themselves. An unfounded theory has even circulated that Moafi’s character …

Noah Wyle, Chappell Roan, and the Wretched Rise of Toxic Fandoms

Noah Wyle, Chappell Roan, and the Wretched Rise of Toxic Fandoms

On the second season finale of The Pitt, Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) painfully articulates the darkness that has been weighing on him for 15 episodes—driving him, at points, to suicidal ideation. “The most important things I’ve ever done in my life have been in this hospital. Nothing will ever matter more than what I’ve done in this hospital. But it is killing me,” he says in confidence to Dr. Abbot (Shawn Hatosy). “You know how they say a part of you dies when you lose someone you love? I’m not convinced that a part of you doesn’t die every time you see a fellow human pass, and I’ve seen so many people die that I feel like it’s leeching something from my soul.” The speech—a mix of raw emotion and restraint superbly delivered by Wyle—effectively explains why Dr. Robby has been a bit off his game the whole season. But there’s a good chance his explanation will fall on deaf ears. A surprising number of people who used to love HBO Max’s Emmy-winning series now …

Noah Wyle The Pitt Season 2 End Interview: Mental Health, Real Robby

Noah Wyle The Pitt Season 2 End Interview: Mental Health, Real Robby

[The following story contains spoilers from the season two finale of HBO Max’s The Pitt, “9:00 p.m.”] The Pitt season two finale conversation between Shawn Hatosy’s Dr. Jack Abbot and Noah Wyle‘s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch about their respective mental health struggles is not the first time that the two close friends and fellow attending physicians have talked about suicide. In fact, the topic comes up just minutes into the series’ first episode as Robby finds Abbot on the roof and jokes that jumping on his shift would be “rude.” Later in the first season, it’s Robby who’s up on the roof as Abbot tries to reassure him while Robby’s crying and talking about how he let himself and his staff down. Though both Robby and Abbot walk out of the hospital together at the end of season one, it was that moment that planted the seeds in Wyle’s mind for Robby’s suicidal thoughts in season two. “What would happen if Abbot hadn’t come back? If Abbot hadn’t stepped out and talked Robby down at …

‘The Pitt’ Finale: Noah Wyle on Surviving Another Shift

‘The Pitt’ Finale: Noah Wyle on Surviving Another Shift

“So I go, ‘Hey, man, I get it,’” Wyle says. “I go over to the visitor lot and there’s no parking, so I go all the way up to the roof and I walk all the way down. I’m like, Don’t let it rattle you. Then I walk up to the pedestrian gate and I realized I’d left [the pass] in my car, and I look over and Tony’s gone on break. And my face is just around the corner, so [this new guard] can’t see it. So I say, ‘I was just talking to Tony. I’m going to audition for Clint Eastwood, Flags of our Fathers. Can you call somebody? Because I’ve only got about six minutes before I’m going to be late.’ “She picks up the phone: ‘I’m here with Noah… Wild?’ I said, ‘Wy-lee.’ She goes, ‘He says he’s on ER. Sir, that show was canceled.’ And then she finally says, ‘Okay, I’ll let you on this time but you have to bring your pass.’ So I walked past her. And I …

The Pitt star Noah Wyle breaks down ‘most brilliant decision we made’

Get the latest entertainment news, reviews and star-studded interviews with our Independent Culture email Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Hit medical drama The Pitt has been praised for its casting, accuracy, and willingness to address real-life topics. But lead star Noah Wyle has shared what he thinks is “the most brilliant decision” the show made. According to the former ER actor, who plays Dr Michael “Robby” Robinovitch in the HBO Max series, the show’s success stems from the creative choice to avoid the use of music. Unlike the majority of other shows on TV, The Pitt has no soundtrack, an idea first suggested by co-creator R Scott Gemmill. Wyle characterises the decision as an antidote to lazy viewing habits created by the rise of streaming services. ‘The Pitt’ stars Sepideh Moafi and Noah Wyle (HBO Max) “I think the most brilliant decision that we’ve done was Scott’s decision to take the music out of the show,” he told The Independent. …

The Pitt’s Noah Wyle shares his favourite storyline so far

The Pitt’s Noah Wyle shares his favourite storyline so far

While each season of The Pitt takes place across a 15-hour shift, with each episode’s story blending into the next, it is of course made up of individual stories as well – those of the patients coming through the hospital. One of these storylines, introduced in the show’s very first episode, focuses on Joseph Spencer, an elderly man with pneumonia, sepsis and Alzheimer’s, whose adult children have to decide whether to intubate him or follow his request not to do so. This storyline is lead actor Noah Wyle’s favourite so far, and he explained why while speaking exclusively with Radio Times, alongside his co-star Katherine LaNasa. Asked for his favourite storyline, Wyle said: “Season 1, we did an end of life storyline – adult children saying goodbye to their father – that my character was rather invested in. I really loved that whole storyline. I loved slowing down end of life to real time, and watching a family struggle, going through it and trying to find some grace within it.” Wyle continued: “There was a …
