This year’s celebrity Met Gala co-chairs certainly turned the event into a family affair with Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter making an appearance. 

Monday night’s annual bash was organised, as ever, by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, with help from A-list guests Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams.

Over on the red carpet – where the dress code was “Fashion In Art”, in honour of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s latest exhibit – both Beyoncé and Nicole were seen making their way into the event alongside their daughters.

The Crazy In Love singer’s eldest child, Blue Ivy Carter, made her Met Gala debut at this year’s event, posing for photographers with her famous mum and dad, Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

While Beyoncé sported a detailed skeletal-inspired gown and Jay-Z kept it classic in a simple black suit, their 14-year-old wore an elaborate, structured white dress for the occasion.

Last year, Blue stole the show with her performances on her mum’s Cowboy Carter world tour, having previously joined her on stage at the Grammys when she collected the Album Of The Year prize for the first time.

Meanwhile, Nicole was also joined by her teen daughter for this year’s Met Ball.

The Moulin Rouge! star was seen striking a pose and looking every bit the proud mum with her 17-year-old Sunday Rose in tow.

Sunday’s dad is the country singer Keith Urban, from whom she split last year after 19 years of marriage.

Every year, the Met Gala takes place on the first Monday in May, as a star-studded fundraiser for New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s Costume Institute.

The A-listers in attendance are invited to dress to a theme which usually corresponds to a new exhibit being showcased at the Costume Institute, with this year’s being themed around “Costume Art”.

Other stand-out looks on the 2026 red carpet included Madonna, Sam Smith and Rihanna, the latter of whom has become known asthe Queen of the Met Gala due to her commitment to the event’s annual red carpet, while Heidi Klum gave us one of the show-stopping transformations she’s become renowned for.
