Alysa Liu Effect: ‘Stateside’ Gets Post-Olympic Bump

It’s been nearly two months since PinkPantheress released the music video for the -featured remix of her song “Stateside.” While the pop stars joining forces received plenty of online attention and streams, the song’s been getting a bit of an unexpected bump as of late. U.S. figure skater Alysa Liu, who just took home the gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, has been on a viral spree of her own, with the Bay Area native’s Exhibition Gala performance of the “Stateside” remix in particular getting attention online. Liu, 20, gave PinkPantheress and Larsson a shoutout in her routine during the non-medal portion of the games that allows the skaters to have a bit more fun by doing some of the choreography for the song. The obsession with Liu’s performance has managed to make a tangible difference for the pop song, which has been climbing the charts and seeing its streams increasing. As the world enters yet another month obsessed with Heated Rivalry, Google has unveiled some of the at-times slightly unhinged terms people are searching in the lead up to the 2026 Winter Olympic games. Unsurprisingly, there’s an increased interest in several hockey-related terms, with Heated Rivalry itself being top trending related show. Searches for “Boy aquarium,” the TikTok-originated term for hockey arenas, is at an all-time high, according to the search engine, with “hockey goalie warm up” as a popular break out search over the last month. Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams’ appearance on The Tonight Show, where the 24-year-old actor enlists host Jimmy Fallon in hockey stretches in front of the audience, provides some context as to why people are investigating if that’s actually happening at hockey games. Enhypen Member Sunghoon to Serve as Torchbearer in 2026 Olympics

Sunghoon, a member of K-pop group Enhypen, has been selected as a torchbearer in the Olympic Torch relay ahead of the 2026 Olympics. The group’s song, “Shout Out,” has also been selected as the South Korean Olympic team’s official cheer song. The 23-year-old singer was invited by Samsung Electronics to participate in the relay for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, according to a release from the group’s label Belift Labs. It has not yet been announced when or where he’ll will join the relay. Sunghoon is not the first K-pop idol to participate in an Olympic relay, however, the move holds hefty significance given the singer was previously a competitive figure skater in his home country. Heated Rivalry Stars Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie Are Torchbearers

The Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie side quest of the day — serving as Olympic torchbearers. The Heated Rivalry stars took part in the Olympic torch relay in Feltre, Italy, on Sunday ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. HBO Max announced Thursday that the duo would appear as torchbearers; however, it wasn’t announced when or where they’d pop up throughout the relay. The streamer is carrying the Games in Europe. Williams and Storrie, both in official white, pink and yellow fits, had their own moment as torchbearers, with Williams passing off the flame to Storrie.
