Jacob Elordi has been blessed with great hair, both on his head and his face. He debuted a divisive beard in 2024 at the Marrakech Film Festival, and has on occasion experimented with a mustache for red carpet outings. Now there’s new Elordi facial hair to add to his canon: the disconnected goatee. During a weekend outing, the 29-year-old Australian actor was seen exiting a sushi restaurant with a matching black outfit to his rumored girlfriend Kendall Jenner. Both were seen in black jeans, black tees, and black sunglasses, with Elordi hiding his wavy ‘do with a backward fitted cap. His signature diamond earring glimmered when making contact with the California sun, but it wasn’t enough to blind us from the goatee thing he had going. Before Anthony Bourdain became Anthony Bourdain, he was writing crime novels about cooks. That’s the strange pleasure of “Three Crime Novels,” a new collection of “Bone in the Throat” (1995), “Gone Bamboo” (1997) and “The Bobby Gold Stories” (2002), re-released this summer alongside the biopic “TONY.” I haven’t seen the movie, and I’m not particularly interested in reviewing it. What interested me was returning to these books and realizing how much of the Bourdain we came to know was already there. Bourdain was always a writer, and he understood early that food was one of the best ways to reveal people. The crimes in these books are often the machinery of the plot. But the restaurants, kitchens and meals are where Bourdain seems most interested in his characters. Food becomes a way to write about ambition, class, masculinity, addiction, resentment and tenderness without having to announce that’s what he’s doing. 300-Pound Faun Sculpture Stolen from French Zoo in the ’90s Heads Home

Three decades after it was stolen from a zoo under the cover of night, a 19th-century bronze sculpture was recovered from the United States and returned to its rightful home in the north of France, where it is now on display at the Musée de Picardie in Amiens. According to a press release issued by the London-based Art Loss Register (ALR), Alfred Lepère’s Faune Chasseur was identified as part of due diligence preceding a proposed sale by one of ALR’s auction-house clients. The sculpture was commissioned by the French State in 1863 and is owned by the state and listed in its national collection managed by Centre National des Arts Plastiques. It was showcased at the Amiens Zoo before it was stolen in 1993.
