Apple continues to work on a “pendant with cameras” for release as early as next year, according to the latest word from Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman. In a report today, Gurman said development of the all-new wearable accessory trails AirPods with cameras, which have apparently reached an advanced testing stage. Apple also continues to work on smart glasses, according to his report. Given the report was focused on the AirPods with cameras, no further details were provided about the pendant or the smart glasses. However, he has shared many details about the two products in his previous reporting, as recapped below. Gurman previously described the pendant as an “AirTag-sized” accessory that would be reminiscent of the failed Humane AI Pin. However, it would be an iPhone accessory rather than a standalone product. Former EastEnders star John Partridge is set to star as Dr Hannibal Lecter, one of the most famous fictional serial killers, in a stage adaptation of Silence of the Lambs. The play, which has been adapted by Gina Gionfriddo from Thomas Harris’s book of the same name, will open at Curve Theatre, Leicester, where it will run from 1 to 15 August 2026 before touring across the UK and Ireland. Iconic Scottish TV series Monarch of the Glen is officially returning to screens, with a new revival of the series coming to 5. In his Power On newsletter today, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman discussed Apple’s upcoming AI plans in more detail. As he reported last week, this will apparently include a Siri app with a so-called “Extensions” feature across iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. With the Siri app, the report said that iPhone, iPad, and Mac users would be able to interact with Apple’s assistant in both text and voice modes. The app would also provide users with access to their past conversations with Siri. Overall, the Siri app would function similarly to the ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude apps. Siri has been able to tap into ChatGPT since iOS 18.2, and the “Extensions” feature would allow for additional third-party chatbots to be connected. “Extensions allow agents from installed apps to work with Siri, the Siri app and other features on your devices,” reads fine print in the Settings app on an internal, pre-release version of iOS 27, according to Gurman. Apple’s Sainte-Catherine store in Montréal, Canada has a new home at the northeast corner of Rue Saint-Catherine and Rue de la Montagne. The location officially opened to the public today, and the first people who visited received a complimentary tote bag and toque (the Canadian term for what Americans call a beanie), the latter of which will come in handy given Montréal’s temperature is currently hovering around -15ºC (5ºF). The store spans the first floor of a historic building that was extensively renovated for Apple. The second and third floors are not accessible to customers. The new space is more than double the size of Apple’s original location on Rue Saint-Catherine, which is now permanently closed. There are side-by-side counters for the Genius Bar and Apple Pickup, where customers can receive technical support and collect items they ordered through Apple’s online store, respectively.
