Unlimited Xbox Cloud Gaming is going away. Starting in November, the service will have monthly limits based on the Xbox Game Pass subscription tier, according to a Microsoft post on Thursday. Cloud gaming hours will be capped at: 15 hours for Game Pass Ultimate 10 hours for Premium 5 hours for Essential Microsoft said it’s making these changes due to the increased cost of cloud gaming. “Moving to monthly limits allows us to keep offering the service while continuing to invest in its reliability and performance,” the company said in the post. “We understand that for some players the practical result is a higher cost.” The limited hours will impact 4% of Xbox Game Pass subscribers, Microsoft said. If you fall into that group, you’ll have the option to purchase more cloud gaming time, and it will also be available to gamers without an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Cold conditions are forecast in the coming weeks (Image: Getty) Brits should prepare for cool temperatures as UK weather maps show that they will plummet in the coming weeks. According to weather maps from WXCharts, which use MetDesk data, temperatures will fall to as low as 3C in just two weeks time. The sharp decline comes after the UK had the hottest summer on record. The chill will hit the nation on Sunday, September 13. Large parts of Scotland alongside Northumberland will feel very fresh in the morning, as the maps predict they will sit at 3C at 6am. Parts of Wales, including Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire will also see a harsh 3C. Yorkshire and surrounding areas are also forcast to only reach 4C in the early hours. At the G20 Innovation Ministerial summit on Wednesday, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, on stage with Anthropic co-founder and chief compute officer Tom Brown, made a controversial argument: If the world wants to grow AI, we need data centers. On the surface, this is logical. Data centers are a crucial piece of infrastructure that tech companies need to power their training of new AI models. But the first part of that “if-then” statement is questionable. These massive AI server farms are wildly unpopular, in large part because of serious environmental concerns, energy costs and resource guzzling. Over the past few years, data center construction projects have been sprouting across the US, with about 3,400 sites already operational and another 2,000 planned, according to Cleanview’s data center tracker tool. The facilities are notorious for demanding massive amounts of electricity to power AI compute, clean water to cool the computer chips and, of course, acreage to build. The Big Bang Theory had loads of characters that could have carried their own spinoff. Although Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) probably wouldn’t have been at the top of anyone’s list, he became the unlikely star of the HBO Max series Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. And the show’s popularity has already earned it a season two renewal. Stuart leading his own sitcom might seem like a strange choice. Especially since the character spent most of The Big Bang Theory on the sidelines running the Comic Center of Pasadena and having very little luck with life in general. Unlike Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), and Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Stuart didn’t really get a new chapter when the show ended.
