As we head towards peak wedding season, we’re preparing for Peter Phillips’ nuptials with Harriet Sperling at All Saints Church in Cirencester on 6 June. It’s likely that their bridal party will include their daughters from their first marriages: Savannah and Isla Phillips, whom Peter shares with his ex-wife, Autumn, and Georgina, whom Harriet welcomed with ex Antonio St John Sperling. While we wait with bated breath to see their bridesmaid dresses, we’re casting our minds back to when Peter’s mother, Princess Anne, was a teenager. Aged 14, the Princess Royal jetted to Athens, where she took on bridesmaid duties for King Constantine II of the Hellenes and Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark’s wedding at the Metropolitan Cathedral on 18 September 1964.
