Your Summer Wardrobe Needs a Good, Beat-to-Hell Oxford Shirt

Your Summer Wardrobe Needs a Good, Beat-to-Hell Oxford Shirt

We’re at that time of year where you pull out your phone and you check the weather and realize that spring might just be an illusion and summer is lurking around the corner with an oppressive level of heat. This then makes you realize that your entire wardrobe is still configured for variable temperatures and that you haven’t even thought about what you’re going to wear when the majority of your clothing is uncomfortable. Fear not, options abound, but let’s get into one that can bear the weight of an entire week’s worth of outfits, that might not always get the summer shirt love it deserves: the humble oxford. Is this groundbreaking? God no. It’s more of a reminder, however, that there’s an unsung summer hero in our midst and you should absolutely be running one (or four) into the ground over the next few months. After all, if you’ve ever had the pleasure of owning a beat-to-hell oxford, you’ll also know that it’s one of the most enjoyable things you can pull off of …

J.Press and Alex Mill Just Kicked Off JFK Jr. Summer

J.Press and Alex Mill Just Kicked Off JFK Jr. Summer

J.Press has the juice right now. For generations, the century-old American institution has outfitted guys in crisp Oxford shirts, boxy sack suits, and heirloom-grade Shetland sweaters, and rarely has it strayed from that heritage. But thanks to an injection of fresh energy courtesy of creative director Jack Carlson—bolstered by, y’know, a new cohort of JFK Jr. wannabes—the preppy stalwart has found itself once again at the center of the menswear discourse. Case in point: a just-dropped link-up with the next-gen prepsters at Alex Mill, whose reliably cheery menswear riffs on the exact type of wholesome Americana J.Press perfected decades ago. You know those collaborations that scan like shameless cash grabs with no real regard for either party’s legacy, let alone their actual customers? This ain’t one of them. Instead, the duo’s second effort picks up right where the first left off, remixing J.Press catalog classics in a kaleidoscope of sun-drenched spring hues. We’re talking garment-dyed chore coats cut from hardy recycled cotton blends, beefy rugby shirts in a Crayola’s box of colors, and at least …

Golf Attire for Men: 21 Ways to Actually Look Cool When Hitting the Links

Golf Attire for Men: 21 Ways to Actually Look Cool When Hitting the Links

Dressing for a round of golf is a task that has perplexed society for decades. Adhering to the standard golf dress code for men (i.e. collared shirts, no denim, proper shoes) while also not looking like your least stylish uncle is a difficult needle to thread. You’re spending the entire day outdoors in the elements, engaging in a physical activity with plenty of other people around, so you need an outfit that’s going to be equal parts functional, comfortable, and easy on the eyes. Lean too far in any one direction, though, and you’re in trouble. Go too hard in the performance department, for instance, and you might wind up in a regrettably form-fitting athleisure look made from swagless synthetic materials. Make comfort your primary concern, and suddenly you’re 2005 Phil Mickelson with billowy pants and sleeves the size of California King topsheets. Care only about style, meanwhile, and you might be sacrificing a few strokes in the name of looking cool. And don’t even get us started on the question of headwear—just because Vijay …

4 Menswear Brands That Will Define Spring 2026

4 Menswear Brands That Will Define Spring 2026

It’s All Gucci, Baby Nearly a year into his run as artistic director of Gucci, Demna has softened his sardonic bite to offer up a raffish twist on the house’s signature Italian glamour. His debut collection arrives jam-packed with freshly reimagined spins on classic Gucci tropes: Think pristine leather jackets and pavement-skimming bootcut jeans, embellished throughout with the brand’s iconic horsebit hardware. On TRAORE: Jacket, $7,900, jeans, $1,400, and shoes, $1,090, by Gucci. T-shirt, $53 (for pack of three), by Calvin Klein. Neck scarf, his own. Belt, $155, by Maximum Henry. On BOULUD: Jacket, $4,000, pants, $1,700, belt, $620, and shoes, $1,090, by Gucci. T-shirt, $154, by Zimmerli. Socks, $30, by Falke. 1. Nothing wrong with that Brando-esque Perfecto of yours, but if Demna’s instincts are any indication, the leather jacket of the moment is the café racer—a sleeker silhouette with deep ties to British motorcycle culture. 2. A jazzily tied neckerchief is an easy way to temper a brooding leather jacket and badass jeans with a touch of Gallic flair. 3. The flash of …

Ignore the Weather App. My L.L.Bean Overshirt Outsmarts Every Forecast

Ignore the Weather App. My L.L.Bean Overshirt Outsmarts Every Forecast

I picked up a small size in the cream/black option, since the traditional red/black buffalo plaid feels a little too lumbersexual–meets–Johnny Appleseed for me. The exterior is 85 percent wool, with a Primaloft interior that’s warmer than a New York City sidewalk in the middle of July. One unspoken win here: the wool is only on the outside, so there’s no chance of itchy arms on the inside, just that bountiful Primaloft insulation trapping your body’s heat. There are two spacious front flap pockets on the chest, and it would’ve been cool to see hidden welt hand pockets on the sides, but no biggie. There are four color options, ample sizing, and both regular and tall fits, so you can dial in exactly what works for you. I like the boxy shape of the overshirt. It leaves plenty of room to layer a crewneck sweatshirt underneath, and there are adjustable buttons at the wrists if you’re rocking multiple layers. For under $200, The Bean basically freaked together every great cold-weather shirt—flannels, CPOs, the whole gang—to …

The Huckberry Winter Sale Is an Avalanche of Menswear Deals

The Huckberry Winter Sale Is an Avalanche of Menswear Deals

Much like the weather, January sale season has been incredibly busy. Huckberry, however, was conspicuously absent from the deal docket, which was a shame because Huckberry stocks some of the most hard-working, hard-wearing, hard-to-find brands out there. Thankfully the tides have turned, because as of this very moment, the Huckberry Winter Sale is rolling. While most winter sales are either thin on sizes or styles or both, Huckberry is thin on neither. One could even describe it as “stocked.” Killer outerwear, rotation-solidifying knitwear, shoes for every surface and pretty much anything else you could presumably be in the market for are all there, all begging for a tracking number. Due to the aforementioned breadth of the sale, we thought a little roadmap might be of use, so we grabbed a few of our favorites and stuck them down low. And because a whole bunch of these brands are small—and also because it’s late January even for the ones that aren’t—nothing is guaranteed to last, so if you see something you’re into, you better make your …

The Ultimate Todd Snyder Shopping Guide of 2026, According to GQ Editors

The Ultimate Todd Snyder Shopping Guide of 2026, According to GQ Editors

Over the past decade, you’d be hard-pressed to find a designer making more of an impact on American menswear than Todd Snyder. The rise has been steady—after spending time on the Ralph Lauren circuit, he was behind J.Crew’s menswear resurgence in the 00s before launching his eponymous label in 2011—but auspicious. The more focused the brand has gotten—leaning hard into wardrobe keystone categories like knitwear, suiting and footwear and embracing Americana all along the way—the more expansive it actually feels. The edit we’ve gotten thus far in 2026 is no different: tight, yet malleable; a hardy pour of the familiar with more than just a dash of the showstopping. All the TS hallmarks are all present, from knockout knits to voluminous suiting to nostalgia-drenched sweats and even a few sparkplug polos mixed in. For those already familiar with the brand, none of this is news. In fact, it’s the attraction: Todd Snyder constantly refines the pieces you love, never cuts corners on fabric or quality, and works in a color palette that manages to be …
