Seth Rogen took to the BAFTA TV Awards stage on Sunday to pick up the best international series honor for The Studio, paying homage to his late co-star Catherine O’Hara, who died in January. “I’d be remiss not to mention one of the key parts of the show, Catherine O’Hara,” he said. “She meant so much to all of us.” And Rogen, holding up the BAFTA trophy, concluded in addressing the London crowd: “I assume her work has been so important to you all over here as it was to us. Dan Levy knows there’s no Schitt’s Creek without Catherine O’Hara. During a recent interview on CBS News Sunday Morning, the Emmy-winning actor, producer and showrunner visited Goodwood — the small town in Ontario, Canada, where Schitt’s Creek was filmed — for the first time since the sitcom wrapped in 2020. While standing outside the store that was once called Rose Apothecary, the fictional boutique his character David Rose owned, CBS News’ Anthony Mason asked if there was any chance for a sequel series. “No. Not now,” Levy replied. “You can’t.” The Big Mistakes co-creator added that at one point, he was “thinking about” a follow-up to Schitt’s Creek. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are opening up about how the upcoming second season of The Studio has been impacted following Catherine O’Hara’s death. In a Friday interview with The Times, the directors spoke about how the show will look different without O’Hara’s Patty Leigh, whom the interviewer referred to as “the anchor” of the seires. Rogen noted that they are “acknowledging” her death, with Goldberg adding that “it has been an unbelievable challenge” navigating her absence, also because her character was written into season two. “Obviously emotionally, dealing with the loss, but also when it comes to the show itself. For a TV series so focused on Hollywood, it’s fitting Madonna looks set to appear in the upcoming second season for Seth Rogen’s star-packed satire The Studio. The pop star on Tuesday teased her return to live-action acting on Instagram as production on a new season of the Lionsgate TV series continues in Europe. Madonna in her social media post is captured in a gondola on a grand canal in Venice, Italy, while reading a script. The Instagram post caption reads: “The Italian job.” Social media also has varied paparazzi shots of Madonna apparently on the second season Venice set of the series. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to representatives for Madonna and The Studio. The series stars Rogen (who also co-created it) as Matt Remick, a movie executive who is elevated to president of the fictional Continental Studios and quickly realizes he might be in over his head. The Studio will no longer appear at Apple TV’s press day next week, following the news of Catherine O’Hara’s death. Apple TV is hosting a press day on Tuesday at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The Studio was scheduled as one of the panel’s discussions until O’Hara’s passing. On Friday afternoon, Apple TV sent out an update to the press announcing that they have respectfully bowed out. The event, which promotes TV shows and movies for the year and beyond, had only been announced to the press.
