Clavicular confronted by trans women over who started ‘looksmaxxing’

“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular was recently approached by three trans women, prompting a discussion on which community — incels or trans women — really started the intense beauty movement. In a viral video clipped from a recent Kick stream, Clavicular was seen eating at a Florida restaurant when his friend, Andrew Morales, aka the “Cuban Tarzan,” spotted three attractive women and pushed the camera their way to show the “gooners.” Soon, the three women made their way to Clavicular’s table, with one asking, “Why am I mogging you right now?” Mogging is a term to describe outshining someone’s beauty. “I’m dragqueenmaxxing right now, no shade,” the unnamed woman added. Clavicular responded by asking questions about the women’s anatomy. The discussion changed when the woman who first approached the table told Clavicular, “You know that trans women are the OG looksmaxxers?” Mashable Trend Report Clavicular …

Looksmaxxing, Catholicism and the new discipline of the body

(RNS) — Braden Peters, a streamer who goes by Clavicular, posted a recent video last week announcing he would broadcast his life 24 hours a day for a month on Kick, where he has about 250,000 followers. “I live in a luxury condominium in downtown Miami, the penthouse,” Peters said with a deadpan affect in the video. “My name is Clavicular. I’m 20 years old. I believe in looksmaxxing — the idea of maximizing physical attractiveness by any means necessary in order to ascend.” He looks directly into the camera, as if addressing a mirror. “My ratios are almost golden now.” Peters, who has said he is Catholic, speaks about self-optimization in the language of religion: discipline, hierarchy, “ascension.” In the larger looksmaxxing community, physical transformation is treated as a moral imperative, one obtainable by persistent self-denial and the pursuit of an ideal form. To some observers, including religious scholars and Catholics in his milieu, the ethos resembles a kind of inverted asceticism: a life structured around sacrifice and perfection, not to a higher power, …

Peters is known for popularizing the term “looksmaxxing”, which is the theory that maximising one’s physical appearance — often through aggressive methods and surgical intervention — will lead to success with women. He is the first star from the online male “looksmaxxing” community, which holds male attractiveness as the key to overarching superiority. He gets his name from the clavicle (the collarbone), a highly prized feature within the online community. Peters initially went viral on TikTok and Instagram through clips of him “mogging” other men — which means standing next to someone to make them look less …

What Was Clavicular?

What Was Clavicular?

At the age of 14, Braden Peters began injecting himself with mail-order testosterone to make himself into something he wasn’t. By his account, the experiment ended when his parents, Kenneth and Lauren, discovered his supply and trashed it. Young Braden was apparently undaunted. He set up a post-office box and began ordering new chemicals—he’s since claimed to have taken crystal meth to stay lean—anything that would catalyze his transformation. He began tapping his face with a hammer in pursuit of perfect cheekbones. The goal was entirely superficial: to reshape his physical form so that other men would feel inferior in his presence, and so that women would want to have sex with him. This, at least, is the origin story he’s told and retold over hundreds of hours of livestreams and interviews. In the pre-internet age, Peters might have passed through the world without notice, or at least without fame. But in 2026, at age 20, he is a popular influencer who calls himself Clavicular, after the span of his collarbones. He is among the …
