And Harper Beckham, 14, has been on a borrow mum’s dresses spree lately while on holiday in Ibiza. She was spotted with Victoria, 52, her brother Romeo, 23, his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 24, and friends heading to lunch on Tuesday on the sunny Balearic island, wearing the exact same long, brown and floral figure-hugging chiffon dress that her mum wore only days earlier. And on Wednesday, she stole her mum’s style again by wearing a pink satin dress from Victoria’s upcoming collection, as the family headed off for a meal in the idyllic haven …

And authorities have now announced a nationwide recall of the product in question. What is ‘cake dust’? “Cake dust” refers to many different products used to decorate cakes. Frontex official warns of post-war Ukraine arms-smuggling danger – POLITICO

Frontex official warns of post-war Ukraine arms-smuggling danger – POLITICO

The deputy head of the EU’s Frontex border control agency warned there is a “high” risk of arms being smuggled from Ukraine to the EU in the event of a deal ending the war with Russia. “There could be weapons smuggling on a larger scale. That could become a security problem for Europe,” Frontex Deputy Executive Director Lars Gerdes told WELT, owned by Axel Springer, which also owns POLITICO. He said that once the full-scale war that Russia launched four years ago ends, it would be “quite possible” for a repeat of the situation in former Yugoslavia, when illegal arms flooded into the rest of Europe after the fighting there ended. Politics Home Article | Starmer Enters The Danger Zone

5 min read1 hr Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been put on notice by Labour MPs after a dismal set of local election results. Speaking on Friday morning, he vowed not to “walk away” from No 10 after watching his party bleed support across the country, in multiple directions. “Tough days like this don’t weaken my resolve to deliver the change that I promised. They strengthen my resolve,” the PM said. But by the end of the day, the pressure on his leadership had hit a new high, with Labour MPs who Starmer allies cannot simply dismiss as the usual suspects publicly declaring that he may have to stand down for the good of their party. Louise Haigh, the former transport secretary who co-chairs the Tribune group of soft left MPs, said Starmer cannot lead the party into the next year’s local elections, never mind the next general election, if he does not deliver an urgent change of course.  She was followed by Sarah Owen, Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee, who agreed that Starmer will …

Claude Deleted a Company’s Entire Database, Illustrating a Danger Every CEO Should Be Aware of

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech AI agents can often act more like double agents, sabotaging a company from the inside. Have the legions of tech-brained big wigs heeded this lesson? Of course not. On Friday, Jer Crane, the founder of the SaaS startup PocketOS, claimed that its Claude-powered Cursor coding agent screwed up so badly that it completely wiped out the company’s database in a matter of seconds. Taking no prisoners, it also vanquished all the database’s recent backups. If the AI agent had in fact been working undercover, its handlers better pin a medal on it. Crane detailed the catastrophe in a lengthy post on X. His account heavily relies on the AI’s self-diagnosis on what went wrong, meaning it’s not wholly reliable. But as he tells it, things went off the rails when Cursor, running Anthropic’s flagship Claude Opus 4.6 model, was handling a “routine task.” When the AI encountered a simple credential problem, it decided to fix it by deleting …

‘There is real danger’: landline phone users voice fears over digital switchover | Consumer affairs

“Every time there is a power failure I lose all means of communication with the outside world,” says Robert Dewar of life in a remote village in the Scottish Highlands since the landlines were transferred from the old copper cable network to broadband connections. Blackouts also knock out the village’s mobile phone signal. “Our most recent power cut lasted for 42 hours,” Dewar says. The interruption outlasted his five-hour emergency backup battery. “If I had had a heart attack there is damn all I could have done about it, except compose myself, say my prayers, and await the outcome.” Dewar was among the more than 100 readers who contacted us with their experiences as the old infrastructure – the public switched telephone network (PSTN) – used to make calls is replaced with digital lines. It is one of the biggest tech upgrades since the analogue television signal was switched off more than a decade ago, a change that forced Britons to convert their TVs or buy a new digital set. This time copper phone cables …
