A small boat migrant convicted of raping a woman on Brighton beach had arrived in Britain after fleeing a murder conviction in Egypt, it has emerged. Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, was among three men found guilty yesterday of raping a 33-year-old woman who was dragged behind a beach hut, pinned down, spat on and kicked in the early hours of October 4 last year. The victim said she feared the laughing attackers would kill her as she lapsed in and out of consciousness. It reportedly emerged during an earlier court appearance that Al-Danasurt had written on his asylum application that he had been convicted of murder in his absence in Egypt — a capital offence. He is understood to have claimed mistaken identity and blamed his brother for the killing. His defence barrister disputed that he had been convicted of murder. Kate Michaela, who is standing in Adur district council, in West Sussex, on May 7, shared several offensive posts, including one that said “every Muslim must leave the UK by 2030”. The Reform candidate also shared a post by Tommy Robinson, the far-Right activist, describing Yvette Cooper, the Foreign Secretary, as a “dumb b—-” who was allowing Islam to “take over Britain”. Yesterday the Reform chief announced asylum claims going back years would be reviewed with the possibility of over 400,000 folks being deported. The only difference is – unlike the enfeebled countries of the West – Asia would never have got itself into this mess to start with. No ECHR here, friends. As for the 1951 Refugee Convention Reform wants Britain to leave, Singapore isn’t even a signatory. Japan is. But Japan defines a refugee so narrowly it barely takes any in. Reform UK has been condemned over the party’s “cruel” plan to deport hundreds of thousands of migrants if it wins the next election. Zia Yusuf, the party’s home affairs spokesman, said a Reform government would review all successful asylum claims going back five years. Anyone found to have arrived in the UK illegally or overstayed their visa would be deported, he said. As many as 400,000 immigrants would potentially be affected by the policy, according to the party. Yusuf said: “Reform will reverse the invasion of Britain. (RNS) — The United States House, in a bipartisan effort that highlighted Republican division over the Trump administration’s immigration policies, passed a bill Thursday (April 16) to allow Haitian migrants temporary legal protections to live in the U.S. for three years. The vote came as the government is fighting at the Supreme Court to end Temporary Protected Status for an estimated 330,000 Haitians currently in the country. The bill now goes to the Senate, and President Donald Trump said he would veto it if it reached his desk. Introduced last year by Rep. Laura Gillen, D-New York, the bill passed 224-204, with the support of 10 Republican lawmakers.
