Messi appeared to have Miami on its way to its first win over Nashville this season when he scored with a left-footed shot to make it 2-1 in the 62nd. Nashville’s Sam Surridge equalized with his second goal of the night just a minute into stoppage time to keep his club unbeaten in four meetings with Miami this season. The draw also kept Nashville nine points ahead of second-place Miami in the Eastern Conference standings. Miley Cyrus‘ upcoming pair of Hollywood Bowl shows has some of the most sought after tickets in live music landscape, as the pop superstar has drawn 1.5 million people to her pre-sale queues, show organizers said Wednesday. For reference, the historic Hollywood venue seats about 18,000 people, reflecting an overwhelming number of people looking to score tickets for Cyrus’ shows. It’s an impressive feat, though not necessarily surprising given that Cyrus hasn’t played a proper concert tour in over a decade, with the exception of a brief 11-date festival tour in 2021 and 2022. Cyrus is playing two shows in October in support of her upcoming 10th album, Bass Persuades, set for release next week. Ted Costas felt weird putting a lock and chain on a neighbor’s gate, but he didn’t have a lot of other options. For weeks, people had been gathering at the abandoned property on Mulholland Drive overlooking a canyon right below the Universal City Overlook. It was July 4, and Costas was afraid that the people who were regularly gathering at the house might start a fire. Two days later, the lock was gone, Costas said. The property enjoys some stunning views of the San Fernando Valley and the mountains beyond. But for everyone else in the Studio City neighborhood with a view of the house, it is an eyesore and a hazard. “It drives me nuts,” said Kris Henigman, who lives downhill from the abandoned property and sees it every day when walking in the neighborhood. The sweltering Southern California heat couldn’t stop the swarm of music-loving fans from descending upon Irvine’s Great Park Saturday for the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival. The Olivia Rodrigo-created all-women festival brought in 45,000 people, according to the singer before her headlining set. Proceeds from the event went towards women- and girls-centric organizations. The festival was spread across the sports complex. Rows of food stalls and trucks filled the field, along with pop-up activations from brands and sponsors. The park’s balloon was decked out for Daisy Chain Fields and the carousel was running throughout the day. Booths and stalls had special flower key symbols for any women-owned businesses — of which there were many. Flowers were everywhere on the festival grounds. Attendees likely wouldn’t be able to tell, minus a hiccup here or there, that it was the singer’s first edition of the festival, as logistics were relatively smooth. It is cleared for use in adults at outpatient clinics — the walk-in sites where most routine blood work is done — the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Wednesday. A phlebotomist, the trained professional who typically draws your blood, still has to start each session and stay nearby in case something goes wrong.
