Blunt, 43, is due to star in Steven Spielberg’s new movie as a Kansas City TV meteorologist who is overcome by an extraterrestrial force when filming a weather segment on live TV. Josh O’Connor plays a whistleblower determined to expose government secrets about alien lifeforms. Emily Blunt is revealing how she was “terrified” to use AI in her upcoming film Disclosure Day, directed by Steven Spielberg, so she decided to find another way to pull off one of her character’s most unusual scenes. On a recent episode of Hot Ones, Blunt appeared to promote Disclosure Day, which hits theaters June 12. In the film, she plays Margaret Fairchild, a TV meteorologist and former journalist who suddenly gains abilities after an encounter with non-human life. In one scene, Margaret has a major vocal change and begins speaking a non-human language during a live weather segment. “It’s a four-minute oner that we shot that leads up to that moment where she’s gradually sort of disintegrating,” the Devil Wears Prada 2 actress said. “There’s various ways you could do it. He was 69. Deny’s daughters announced the French actor’s death in a statement Wednesday. “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS,” the statement said, according to the Daily Mail. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is no known cure. Deny was in seasons three and four of the hit Netflix series starring Lily Collins. He played Louis de Léon, the CEO of fashion giant JVMA and father of Nicholas de Léon, played by Paul Forman, who dated Emily’s (Collins) best friend Mindy Chen, who is played by Ashley Park. The BBC has announced that it has begun production on Reputation, a brand-new legal drama from writer Anya Reiss, which stars James Bond favourite Naomie Harris. Harris, who played Moneypenny opposite Daniel Craig’s Bond, will play Lena, a formidable lawyer who gets pulled into the celebrity case of a global pop star, Davina Knight, played by The Buccaneers actor Christina Hendricks. The six-part series, which is produced by The Forge, will also feature Rivals star Emily Atack in a key role, as well as Andor’s Kyle Soller, The Crown’s Alex Jennings and The Diplomat’s David Gyasi.
