The sentimental item boasts a rich history; it was originally given as a wedding gift by King Oscar I and Queen Josephine of Sweden to the future Queen Louise in 1850. Princess Estelle may only be 14, but she’s already perfected one of the trickiest royal requirements – performing a curtsy.  The young royal, who is the eldest child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, joined guests on the Lejonbacken Terrace of the Royal Palace of Stockholm for an Armed Forces Salute and Air Force Flyover on Thursday.  In a video clip shared on Swedish news channel SVT, which can be watched above, Estelle performed a perfect curtsy for Queen Sonja of Norway, who was accompanied by her husband, King Harald.  She also curtsied to Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, the country’s former Queen, making for the ultimate sign of respect and following of royal protocol. The move, which involves the bending of the knees and slight bowing of the head, was so flawless that it would likely even have impressed the Queen of the Curtsy, the Princess of Wales.  Europe’s Kings and Queens have jetted to Stockholm for the 80th birthday celebrations of King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden, Estelle’s grandfather, with King …

12 private royal living rooms: Princess Anne’s modest home, Princess Kate’s ‘museum’ & more

It may be hard to think of members of the royal family doing ordinary things like reading to their children on the sofa or relaxing in front of the television, but behind closed doors, they do exactly that, spending time in their private living rooms.  While some royal residences have the most amazing sitting rooms with ample space, high ceilings and decadent décor, others are much humbler, like Princess Anne’s relatable lounge, which went viral when a picture was shared during the pandemic of her and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence watching a rugby match in their modest room.  Then, we’ve got the impressive living spaces of European royalty with a distinctly formal feel, including bold colours and gilded touches. In stark contrast to the pared-back and modern look at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito mansion, which they share with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.   Keep scrolling to see all of these and more… Harry and Meghan’s lounge is stylish and modern Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s living room at Montecito mansion The …

Prince Albert and rarely-seen son Alexandre Grimaldi, 22, attend tennis tournament separately

On 11 April, at the prestigious Monte Carlo tennis tournament, an unprecedented and, to say the least, somewhat strange situation unfolded. It wasn’t unusual to see Prince Albert at the Country Club enjoying one of the matches played on clay, but it was truly surprising that his son, Alexandre Grimaldi, was also there. They weren’t seen together at any point, so it’s understood that they arrived separately, and it’s also unknown whether they had any contact while at the venue.
