Festivalgoers have revealed the moments they look forward to most — from finding a freshly cleaned loo and a bar tent with no queue, to forming a random three-day friendship. A poll of 1,500 festival fans found their standout memories include a surprise guest being brought on stage, finally hearing the song they’ve been waiting all weekend to hear live, and the crowd singing the same lyric in unison. Watching the sunset, and waking up to music already playing, were also voted among their favourite moments. More than two thirds said festivals have created some of the most memorable moments of their lives, while 47% agreed that being able to capture moments on their phone makes the experience feel complete. The research was commissioned by Samsung UK & Ireland to mark the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G, which includes features such as Object Eraser and Edit Suggestion to help festivalgoers capture, edit and share the moments they care about most.
