As we count down to the maiden voyage of the highly anticipated Disney Adventure cruise in Singapore, fans can look forward to numerous Disney-themed activities around that period. In addition to the themed Wonderfall show at Changi Airport Terminal 2, there’s now a themed fireworks sky show where you can unleash your inner child. Happening at the Marina Bay precinct from Mar 13 to 15, the 10-minute showcase comprises fireworks that can be seen all around Marina Bay, set to iconic tunes from Disney movies, including When You Wish Upon A Star from Pinocchio and Let It Go from Frozen. Presented by UOB, Marina Bay Sands, Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board, the show will bring viewers on a journey through the upcoming cruise’s seven themed areas and also show designs with nautical-themed elements and Peranakan-inspired motifs. The show will commence at 8.30pm on all three days. Fireworks, by Matthew Burgess and illustrated by Cátia Chien has won the Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children, and All the Blues in the Sky, written by Renée Watson has been awarded the Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children’s literature. More than 100,000 people gathered along the banks of the River Thames to see in 2026, with millions watching at home. During the celebrations, a large image of the EU flag was projected onto the wheel. Other images paid tribute to England’s Women’s Rugby World Cup triumph and the Lionesses footballers retaining the Euros. The London Mayor’s display also featured prominent promotional visuals and songs from Wicked: For Good as part of an “event partnership” between his office and Universal Pictures. It’s almost time to gather around and welcome in the new year with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne and as we all know, there’s no better way to bid the old farewell than with a spectacular fireworks display to light up the sky.  Across the UK, county councils and mayors’ offices have been planning 31 December for months and as the clock strikes midnight, there will be plenty of spots to catch a glimpse of fireworks exploding overhead.  In Manchester, the city is breaking new ground with its first-ever dual-site firework and light spectacular across St Peter’s Square and Albert Square, while Edinburgh’s Hogmanay holds pride of place as the ultimate New Year destination and London gears up to put on its usual extravaganza over the Thames.  Further afield, things are operating a little differently this year with cities such as Sydney and Tokyo scaling back due to safety fears, and Paris and Hong Kong cancelling altogether.  Without further ado, HELLO! New Year’s Eve celebrations have begun around the world as countries usher in 2026. To document the spectacle, a dedicated “watch live” allows readers to follow along with the revelries as they unfold. Spectators can track real-time footage from key cities as they ring in the new year with fireworks, music and other events. The festivities will commence in the South Pacific, with Auckland at 10.45am UK time, then Sydney at 12.45pm.
