Beef season 2 unveils first-look trailer as award-winning series returns

Two married couples are going to war – and it’s going to get messy as Beef returns to Netflix for season 2. In another round of characters going to extreme lengths to come out the victor, a super-rich country club run by a Korean billionaire becomes a battleground as relationships are tested. But who ends up on top when everyone is miserable? After Steven Yeun and Ali Wong led the first season, season 2 has Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac leading an all-star cast as an unhappily married couple whose relationship is hanging on by a thread. In Netflix’s new trailer for the season, Joshua Martín (Isaac) and Lindsay Crane-Martín (Mulligan) may look perfect to those who don’t know them, but neither is where – or who – they want to be in life. Award-winning Netflix drama unveils first-look at second season

Award-winning Netflix drama unveils first-look at second season

Netflix has dropped the first teaser trailer for Beef season 2 – and it looks like that three-year wait was worth it. The new episodes kick off when “a Gen Z couple witnesses an alarming fight between their Millennial boss and his wife,” setting in motion a chain of events that neither could possibly have predicted. The story is an all-new direction for the drama anthology, which began in April 2023, with a critically-acclaimed feud between wealthy businesswoman Amy (Ali Wong) and struggling contractor Danny (Steven Yeun). Both stars walked away with Emmys, Golden Globes and Actor Awards (formerly SAG Awards), which naturally made the lead characters in season 2 of great interest to Hollywood’s A-listers. Ultimately, the four roles went to Cailee Spaeny (Wake Up Dead Man) and Charles Melton (Warfare), as the younger couple, with Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein) and Carey Mulligan (The Ballad of Wallis Island) as their older rivals. You can get an intriguing introduction to their characters in Beef season 2’s cryptic teaser trailer. Watch here, and catch all episodes on …

Sky has released the first trailer for Succession and Pride & Prejudice star Matthew Macfadyen’s new comedy-drama The Miniature Wife. The show, which stars The Hunger Games’s Elizabeth Banks as Les’s wife Lindy, examines the “power (im)balances between spouses after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis,” according to the official synopsis. The new trailer gives fans a first look at how this accident occurs, as Les (MacFadyen) is shown developing a new technology that he hopes will line him up for a Nobel. “I am creating the bio-agritech that will change the world. I call it the miracle of miniaturisation,” he says in the footage. But what he doesn’t expect it to do is shrink his wife, who gets in the way of an experiment and suffers the effects herself. “So this is my tiny little life now”, she …

Netflix releases first-look trailer for adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole books

Netflix releases first-look trailer for adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole books

It wouldn’t quite be a crime drama without a complicated detective at its helm and taking that trope to new heights is Netflix’s latest thriller, Detective Hole, which is based on the bestselling Harry Hole novels by Jo Nesbø. Fans of the original books will know this broody central character all too well but thanks to an official teaser trailer that’s just dropped, we get to see just how Hole goes about getting results in his professional life and leaving his personal life somewhat dwindling. In the teaser, we see The Last Kingdom’s Tobias Santelmann as Hole, drinking at late night bars, getting into physical scraps and punching people square in the face. Nevertheless, he’s good at his job, his colleague admits – he’s just not necessarily good at everything else. The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman stars as Hole’s colleague Tom Waaler, who may seem similar to Hole in terms of their professional capabilities, but is clearly hiding some secrets of his own. As the tension builds, we see Hole come undone literally as he’s seen …

Night Manager season 2 episode 3 first-look clip sees steamy tension

Night Manager season 2 episode 3 first-look clip sees steamy tension

The Night Manager season 2 has dropped a first-look clip from tomorrow night’s third episode, exclusively for readers of RadioTimes.com. The spy thriller is back on our screens after about a decade-long absence, with Tom Hiddleston returning in the lead role of Jonathan Pine; an intelligence agent with a knack for going deep undercover. This time, he’s infiltrated the inner circle of illegal arms dealer Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva), with help from his enigmatic associate Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone). In the clip (which you can watch in the video above), Jonathan and Roxana have some fleeting time alone to scheme against their shared rival, although it remains unclear whether their alliance is in good faith – or if they’re “playing” each other. Their vaguely threatening words are confused by a somewhat steamy atmosphere in the room, but it’s clear that this won’t be the kind of earnest romance that we saw between Jonathan and Jed (Elizabeth Debicki) in season 1. Instead, there’s a palpable sense that either one of them could betray the other …
