“Historic Injustice”: DOJ Settles With Retired Gen. Flynn For Malicious Russiagate Prosecution

Authored by Troy Myers via The Epoch Times, The Department of Justice (DOJ) and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a former national security adviser in President Donald Trump’s first term, reached an undisclosed financial settlement Wednesday, according to court documents. Flynn sought a $50 million payout from the government for what he claimed were politically motivated actions against him. The settlement brings an end to a years-long dispute that stemmed from false claims of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Once Flynn has confirmed receipt of the settlement funds, he and the DOJ will file a joint dismissal of the case with prejudice, with each party bearing its own costs and fees, the agreement shows. Flynn’s lawyer provided an emailed statement to The Epoch Times, including a statement from the former Trump adviser as well. Although the case has reached a settlement, Flynn said, “Nothing can fully compensate for the hell that my family and I have endured over these many years.” “There should never again be such a brazen attempt to weaponize federal law …

Casualty reveals who will seek revenge on Siobhan’s abuser – and it’s not Flynn

This article contains reference to sexual abuse that some readers may find upsetting. Siobhan McKenzie (Melanie Hill) is in turmoil in Casualty, living in fear that her rapist Chris Banfield (Cai Brigden) could return to Holby City Hospital at any moment. After the case was dropped, he taunted her by arriving in the ED and staring directly into the CCTV cameras. This left the clinical nurse manager concerned that he was still looking to target her, and she asked colleague Flynn Byron (Olly Rix) to teach him a lesson. While Flynn installed a doorbell camera at Siobhan’s home, she made it clear that she still wanted him to track the lad down. He warned that violence wasn’t the answer, but was prepared to do whatever it took to ease her mind. At work, it became clear that the incident was impacting everyone around her. Rida Amaan (Sarah Seggari) informed Cam Mickelthwaite (Barney Walsh) that Chris had been spotted lurking around the corridors, and he feared that Flynn wasn’t taking the matter as serious as he …

Johnny Flynn & John C. Reilly Western

You wait eons for a great tragic film set on the American frontier in the 19th century from a little-known director that features an outstanding male lead performance, a scene-stealing turn from a veteran character actor, and a forest fire — and wouldn’t you know it, two come along at once. Well, not quite at once, but just a little over a year apart. Close enough to make you wonder if there’s something in the air, a conspiracy afoot, or just great minds thinking alike and taking inspiration from fine literary works. Director Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams, adapted from Denis Johnson’s novel of the same name, premiered at Sundance in 2025, but didn’t really build up a critical wind behind it until last fall, as awards season heated up, which is why it feels so recent. This year, A Prayer for the Dying, similar to Train Dreams in all the ways listed above and just as good a film, debuts at Berlin in the newish Perspectives showcase, where it’s created a substantial buzz. A Prayer …
