The Queen has developed a friendship with one surprising, well-known singer who has reportedly earned a place in her inner circle. Over the years, Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell-Horner has attended multiple royal engagements where she has been pictured meeting and interacting with Queen Camilla. According to the Daily Mail‘s Richard Eden, the Queen has become “increasingly close” with the Spice Girls singer.  A source told the reporter that Geri has become like one of the Queen’s ladies-in-waiting, “but more so”, sharing that the two share a common interest in horses. While the Queen ended the long-standing royal tradition of having ‘ladies-in-waiting’ when her husband King Charles ascended the throne, she opted to have six assistants known as ‘Queen’s companions’.  As a fellow horse enthusiast, Geri recently made a trackside appearance for day one of Royal Ascot on 16 June with her husband, Christian Horner. Mel B has recalled a “horrifying” moment during her first pregnancy when she was asked to weigh herself live on television. Geri Halliwell-Horner’s daughter Bluebell proved she’s all grown up as she stepped out for a rare public appearance following this year’s BRIT Awards in Manchester. The Queen visited Maggie’s Cheltenham centre in Gloucestershire on Wednesday to mark the cancer support charity’s 30th anniversary and meet people living with the disease. She was joined by former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner, who appeared to breach protocol when greeting her without a curtsy and going for a kiss first and hug first.
