Earlier this week, Reddit users pointed out an anomaly on the company’s website showing a solo balcony room on a six-day cruise being offered for only $300. Customers who purchased the trip were thrilled by the steep discount, as a five to seven-day trip usually costs between $600 to $1,500 per person, depending on the destination. However, Carnival caught the error and sent an email to passengers about their reservations being canceled as a result, according to a screenshot of the message shared by a Reddit user. “Following a planned IT maintenance project this past weekend, some guests saw a random display of prices that were far below any reasonable promotional fare,” the email reads. “The reservation you made was …

Those curly brackets in Excel aren’t a glitch — here’s what they actually mean

Even if you’ve been coasting through Excel without fully understanding what’s happening on every sheet you open, you’ve probably noticed curly brackets appearing in some formulas — even though you never typed them yourself. If you don’t feel like a spreadsheet wizard, it’s easy to ignore them, especially when all your formulas are working as expected. However, if you’re anything like me and tend to question things that show up without a clear explanation, those brackets are hard to overlook. You’ll be wondering why they’re in your formulas and whether they signal something important. Do they point to a useful feature working behind the scenes, or are they a warning that something unusual is going on? Legacy array formulas The curly brackets you can’t type yourself Screenshot by Ada The most common type of curly brackets you’ll find in Excel formulas is the one wrapped around a formula expression, like this: {=SUM(I2:I100*J2:J100)} This kind of formula is known as a legacy array formula, sometimes referred to as a CSE formula. The name comes from the …

Kemi Badenoch’s Best Bits Video Has Embarrassing Glitch

The Tories were left looking rather embarrassed today after a “best bits” compilation video of Kemi Badenoch played nothing at all. Shadow local government secretary James Cleverly tried to launch the Conservatives’ local elections campaign by lauding the party leader’s “vim and vigour” – but a technical glitch turned it into a moment they’d rather forget. Shortly before introducing Badenoch on stage, Cleverly told the waiting audience: “Just in case anyone has forgotten just how good she is, let’s remind ourselves with a quick look at her best bits.” A few people in the audience excitedly declared that this clip was obviously “going to be long” as the screen briefly flashed up with the Conservatives’ slogans. But it quickly went black. It then showed the Tory pledge to implement a “stronger economy and a stronger country” once more – before Cleverly started to give up. “I’m going to give it… one more second…for the video,” he said, then adding: “Do you know what ladies and gentlemen? Forget the video.” He then welcomed Badenoch onto the …

Google fixes glitch serving ads to YouTube Premium users

Google fixes glitch serving ads to YouTube Premium users

YouTube Premium subscribers who were promised an ad-free experience for $13.99 a month were met with jarring mid-playlist advertisements this week, in what appears to be an apparent Google snafu. The glitch was first flagged by premium users who were listening to YouTube Music on their Google Home and Nest devices, Android Authority reported. On the Google Home subreddit on Feb. 20, users reported ads appearing consistently even after resetting their devices, suggesting the issue was at the account level. One user said they had been experiencing issues with home devices playing YouTube Music for the last year, prompting them to cancel their account. “They must’ve botched a release,” wrote another user. Man Discovers Infinite Money Glitch at GameStop

Man Discovers Infinite Money Glitch at GameStop

Selling your used gear and games at GameStop has long been a convenient way to carve a little off the price tag of your next purchase. Sure, you’ll almost certainly get more money on eBay, but who wants to spend all that time and effort? Now, a YouTuber who goes by the handle RJCmedia discovered a pre-owned game promotion at the chain that turned out to be too good to be true. In a January 17 video, as spotted by Dexerto, the YouTuber discovered what he characterized as an “infinite money glitch” in which he bought a Nintendo Switch 2 gaming console — only to sell it back alongside a pre-owned game purchase for roughly $50 more. “If you buy a Switch 2, you can trade it for more than you paid for it,” he exclaimed in the video. The YouTuber took advantage of the exploit — not valuing all the time he spent, of course — by traveling to several stores over two days, netting a profit of $150. I Found The GameStop Infinite …
