M&S shoppers ‘heartbroken’ as city centre store closes doors | UK | News

The UK city centre M&S store closed its doors on Saturday (Image: Getty) Marks and Spencer shoppers have been left ‘heartbroken’ as a UK city store shut its doors for the final time on Saturday, May 30. The Swansea store closed due to underperforming according to the high street chain. On Saturday, shoppers came to pay their respects to the branch, with flower tributes being placed by the building. The Oxford Street store has been a major shopping attraction in the city for many years. The closure was announced in February and 92 jobs were put at risk as a result. An M&S spokesperson said: “Our M&S Swansea city centre store will close on Saturday, 30 May. “As previously announced, this decision forms part of our plans to reshape our store estate so we can invest in stores that better meet the needs of our customers. “We remain committed to serving customers in Swansea through our nearby stores and online, and are working closely with Swansea Council and other local partners to explore opportunities for …

‘Heartbroken.’ 4-year-old found dead in vehicle in Valley Village ID’d

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl who was apparently left inside a hot vehicle in Valley Village. LAPD Capt. Warner Castillo said officers responded at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to a call about an unresponsive child in the 1200 block of McCormick Street. He said Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were providing medical aid to the child when officers arrived. Paramedics pronounced the child dead at the scene. The LAPD’s Juvenile Division is investigating the case. The Los Angeles County medical examiner identified the girl as Adina Nevo. The cause of death was deferred, meaning the medical examiner has completed an autopsy but may need more time and information to determine the exact cause of death. A law enforcement source, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about an ongoing investigation, said the case was being investigated as a suspected hot car death. LeAnn Rimes was forced to cancel two shows on her 30 Years of Blues tour due to a “severe illness”, as she shared with fans via social media on Wednesday.  The “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” singer took to Instagram to announce the news, writing: “Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week. Tributes have been paid to a Real Housewives star who has sadly died. Real Housewives of Orange County star Dr Brian Herman has died at the age of 63. A family have expressed their “heartbreak” after their “full of life” son has died a week after being attacked by a shark. Nico Antic was mauled by a shark in Sydney on Sunday, January 18.  He was rushed to Sydney’s Children Hopsital after the horrific incident at Nielson Beach, known as Shark beach, and was in a coma. Almost a week after the tragedy his parents have Lorena and Juan have expressed their “heartbreak” as they shared the news of their son’s death.
