Maya Jama Teases Role In Netflix’s The Gentlemen Season 2

Maya Jama has given us a taste of what to expect from her upcoming acting role in The Gentlemen. The Love Island host scored a part in the new series of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime drama after auditioning for a role opposite the likes of Kaya Scodelario and Theo James. Speaking to Variety, Maya revealed that she was able to keep her natural accent for the job, which felt like “a safe entrance point” but that other than that, she didn’t know how big or small her part was or “what the hell to expect”. “I did the tiniest little cameo in a Netflix series called The Duchess,” she said, referring to her appearance as a dental nurse in Katherine Ryan’s comedy-drama. “But it was like one day filming, whereas this was my first one where I had to properly learn lines and be on set for a few days.
