Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., said Sunday that Democrats should not prioritize impeaching President Donald Trump if they win control of the House in the upcoming midterm elections, but instead should focus on making life more affordable for Americans. Clyburn told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that if Democrats take back the House, he feels confident that their first order of business would be making the country accessible and affordable for all citizens. The letter, reported first by CNBC, calls for a briefing from South Korean officials on their plans to enforce an amendment to the country’s existing data privacy law, which took effect in July and has been dubbed the “fake news” law. Russell died unexpectedly at his home in the San Diego area on Wednesday (22 July), his family told TMZ. The top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to the Justice Department on Wednesday requesting a criminal investigation of former special counsel Jack Smith, alleging he made false statements during a congressional deposition last year.
