A man has died after reportedly posing for a selfie on a railway line. The 32-year-old was hit by a high-speed train on Sunday morning in Laksam, Bangladesh. The image shows Mohi Uddin, a tuk tuk driver, standing dangerously close to the steel rails. He is understood to have gone to Bagmara market when he stepped onto the Dhaka–Chittagong railway line. According to reports, witnesses told local outlet JagoNews24 that Uddin stood on the tracks to take a selfie, which he reportedly posted on his Facebook account. However, others say Uddin was talking on his phone while standing close to the railway line. Just moments after this, a train struck him, killing him instantly. The collision happened at the Bagmara Dudh Bazar bypass which is a busy intercity line. Authorities believe the accident happened due to carelessness.
