Oscar Isaac’s Beef Mullet Is Incredibly Well Done
You know the old adage about the mullet: “business in the front, party in the back.” That’s exactly the kind of motto that Oscar Isaac’s character Josh lives by in season two of Netflix’s hit series Beef. And it’s best reflected in his frat bro baby mullet that he rocks throughout the show. Isaac’s Josh is the general manager of a snooty country club, suffocated by the burden of having to deal with the egos of the rich and famous residents there while simultaneously dealing with his failing marriage to Carey Mulligan’s Linsday and ongoing money troubles. Oh, and that’s all on top of his having to placate the demands of employees Austin and Ashley, played by Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny respectively, who have damning footage of a heated fight between the older couple. For the series, Variety reported that Isaac worked with hairstylist Tim Nolan who suggested that the actor don what we’re calling a mini mullet: short in the front with some longer bits at the back that aren’t quite the shoulder-grazing …
