Ben McKenzie Open to Returning for ‘The O.C.’ Revival

California, here we come — again… possibly? hopefully? Ben McKenzie is weighing in on whether he’d be interested in returning to The O.C. In a new interview with on KIIS 1065, McKenzie was asked by the host if he would be open to “re-doing” The O.C. by returning as “one of the dads,” referencing Peter Gallagher’s Sandy Cohen role. “I don’t know that there has ever been serious talks, but I’d be up for it, sure,” he responded. “Yeah, I think so, under the right circumstances. It was a great show. We had a great time. I learned a lot. I was so young. We were all young.” He added that his 10-year-old child, whom he shares with actress Morena Baccarin and briefly appeared in three episodes of season three, “loved it.” “I now have kids come up to me, teenagers, and they talk about what a fan they are of the show. ‘You weren’t even alive when it came out,’” McKenzie continued. “They watch it with their parents.” The 47-year-old’s comments come after Mischa Barton, who played …

On Wednesday, BN chairman Zahid said it would be “better” for GE16 to be held early. But he added that the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO)-led coalition is also prepared if Anwar opts to see out the government’s full five-year tenure. Malaysia’s Berita Harian reported him as saying that BN must be prepared for the next nationwide polls by addressing the people’s concerns and to ensure that the coalition remains politically relevant. Touching on whether BN preferred to work with PH or PN, Zahid stressed that his coalition must first weigh the pros and cons.  “We were willing to go solo in the Johor state election because of the political landscape there, but in Negeri Sembilan, we felt forming an alliance would be more beneficial,” he said. “Political gains are what we are calculating in determining negotiations.” Despite calls for an early general election, BN said that it remains committed to the unity government and Malaysia’s political stability. NEW YORK, Sept 4 : American third seed Jessica Pegula fought back from a set down and Aryna Sabalenka cruised into the fourth round of the U.S. Open on Friday, while the Williams sisters were due to take the court again in doubles action. A day after Madison Keys saved five match points to stay alive, her compatriot Pegula recovered from a rocking opening set to down 2021 finalist Leylah Fernandez 1-6 6-4 6-3. A group of independent AI researchers discovered that internally deployed OpenAI agents began posting on an obscure German wiki forum in order to collaborate on evaluations. They appear to have worked together for over a month without OpenAI’s knowledge. A spokesperson for the frontier lab would not say whether these agents were indeed from OpenAI, or when the lab became aware of their actions. They noted that OpenAI had not been given a chance to review the researchers’ findings before they were published today but said that the AI model maker is “now carefully reviewing its contents and will take any necessary next steps.” After OpenAI revealed that agents working on an internal evaluation were able to access the open internet and exploit Hugging Face, a group of researchers — Nightingale CEO Sydney Von Arx, AI researcher Cormac Slade Byrd, Redwood Research’s Spencer Kitts, and AI Futures Project’s Thomas Larsen — began searching for evidence of other rogue AI agents. Chipmaker Nvidia is buying artificial intelligence software platform Hugging Face for $13 billion. It’s the latest deal by the company, whose processors are integral to the AI boom, and highlights Nvidia’s push to champion increasingly popular open-source AI models. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang wrote in a blog post Thursday that more than 18 million developers, researchers and creators use Hugging Face to share more than 3 million models, 500,000 data sets and 1 million applications. More than 200,000 companies also that use the platform, he said. In July, Hugging Face’s data processing systems were hacked, and ChatGPT maker OpenAI acknowledged that its artificial intelligence system was to blame, sending shock waves through the security community amid heightened concerns about the capabilities of powerful AI models. Just over a week later, Anthropic said its artificial intelligence models hacked into three other organizations during testing.
