Piers Morgan has claimed he intends to take legal action against Earl Charles Spencer over his new book about his late sister, Princess Diana. Speaking on his YouTube channel Piers Morgan Uncensored on Monday, the former Good Morning Britain host revealed that he had been name-checked numerous times in Earl Spencer’s memoir, Swan Song. He told his viewers that the book “contains fabricated inaccuracies which will strike to the heart of [Earl Spencer’s] credibility”. Spencer’s book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, is due to be published next week and is expected to be highly critical of the Royal Family, with snippets already released taking swipes at Charles and receiving a response from the palace. However, speaking to CBS, Spencer told Mark Phillips “I’m at a stage of my life where the past is the past. “I don’t hold resentments. I’m not a vengeful, resentful person “I’m just an eyewitness to history.” In the interview Spencer explained that he does not have a personal relationship with Charles, but does respect him as King. He added: “I’m not being rude about them. The funding is set to enable the launch and scaling of more Uncensored branded audio and video channels alongside live events and subscription products. The capital fundraising round was led by Raine Ventures and Antenna Group, which have together previously invested in media such as the Spanish-language Televisa Univision. A strategic group of investors also took part including Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of News Corp’s Rupert, and British businessmen Simon and David Reuben whose family were second-placed on the Sunday Times Rich List 2026. Murdoch’s investment comes a month after her brother James bought Vox, New York Magazine and the Vox Media Podcast Network via his private holding company Lupa Systems. The siblings, and sister Prudence, were reported last year to have received around $1.1bn (£810m) each after a court case relating to the future of News Corp and Fox.
