The first trailer for new Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch has been unveiled – and it shows Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler and Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton planning to wage a war for their land. The new series, which will premiere on the Paramount+ on 15 May, will pick up with the beloved couple from the original series as they attempt to build a new life for themselves in South Texas. But, as the new trailer shows, chaos soon erupts when Beth and Rip find themselves at odds with rival ranch owner Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening). In the new footage, Belulah is shown staring the pair down and giving them an ominous warning: “My ranch is 190 years old and I work very hard to protect it.” And it’s not long before she’s plotting their downfall. “Rip and Beth have secrets and people with secrets can be useful. CHRISTIANA, Tenn. — From a distance, the small solar farm in central Tennessee looks like others that now dot rural America, with row upon row of black panels absorbing the sun’s rays, creating a flow of clean electricity. But beneath the panels is lush pasture, not gravel, enjoyed by a small herd of cattle that spends their days munching grass and resting in the shade. Silicon Ranch, which owns the 40-acre farm in Christiana, outside Nashville, believes cattle-grazing is the next frontier in so-called agrivoltaics, which mostly has involved growing crops or grazing sheep beneath the panels. The solar company debuted the project last week and will spend the next year working to demonstrate to farmers that much larger herds of cattle also can thrive at solar sites. It’s still jazzing up iceberg and romaine. But ranch now competes with the likes of ketchup and other condiments, a creamy dip for everything from hot wings and fried pickles to — perhaps most controversially — pizza. It’s ubiquitous, a versatile staple of American foodways easily found in grocery stores, recipes and on menus. There are entire cookbooks and a restaurant dedicated to the flavor. Beloved and maligned, ranch also turns up in the country’s cultural intangibles. Paramount+ has released the trailer for Dutton Ranch, teasing the next Yellowstone TV spinoff to chronicle the Dutton family’s drama. Picking up after the events of Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and her husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), who were last seen moving to a ranch in Dillon, Montana. It now seems as though they didn’t stay there for long. Dutton Ranch is set on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas — one with a rival ranch that isn’t very friendly to the new neighbours.
