Fans have been remembering the impressive career of actor Nick Joseph, who has sadly died at age 60. The TV and film veteran had roles in the James Bond franchise, Doctor Who, Star Wars and EastEnders. As well as appearing on screen, Nick held roles in casting and production – giving him a broad range of skills within the industry. The Mirror reports his death was revealed online on Friday, with further details of his death emerging over the weekend. A friend of the actor broke news to fans on social media, with Nick branded a “great ambassador” to the Star Wars community of fans. He had featured on screen in the 1977 original Star Wars movie, later retitled Star Wars IV: A New Hope, playing a medal bearer at a ceremony involving main character Princess Leia Organa, played by the late Carrie Fisher. Taking to Facebook at the end of the week, a statement released by Galactic Productions – An Appearance Agency’s Post, revealed: “Sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Nick Joseph.” …

It’s been a year since a gunman opened fire on the CDC and killed a police officer. RFK Jr. visited the CDC today to remember the victim. Employees there are gathering to remember an August 2025 shooting that killed a police officer and left many people connected to the CDC shaken. Nothing captures the decline of Tesla better than the Cybertruck. When the stainless-steel pickup hit the road in 2023, Tesla was the world’s biggest electric-car company. At the time, Elon Musk predicted that he’d eventually sell 250,000 Cybertrucks a year. In the first half of 2026, according to one estimate, Tesla sold roughly 7,000. Tesla has faced several self-inflicted wounds. Musk’s affiliation with Donald Trump and his tenure at DOGE was a turnoff for electric-car buyers who lean to the left—which is most of them. A promotional event with the president himself on the White House lawn didn’t seem to do much good. Tesla’s worldwide sales fell 9 percent in 2025. Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022 in order to provide for more alternative voices. The Twitter files likely played a role in his decision. But there is another story here. Jack Dorsey, formerly CEO of Twitter (2015–2021), founded Bluesky at roughly the same time to be a kinder, gentler Twitter (or X, as the latter is increasingly known). Bluesky was billed as “Real people. Real conversations. Social media you control.” Hopes were high. At journalism site Nieman Lab, Ethan Toven-Lindsey announced in 2024: “Bluesky is just the beginning”: The decision by the European Federation of Journalists, the largest such organization in Europe, to stop posting on Twitter as of January 20, 2025, signals a broader media shift towards social media and news sharing alternatives. “The EFJ considers that it can no longer ethically participate in a social network that its owner has transformed into a machine of disinformation and propaganda,” the group wrote when announcing the decision. They’ll say it without words, and her choice will feel like a lesser one, and somehow, she’ll feel less about herself too. My daughter’s doing what we all do: measuring the worth of her decisions, and even her own worth, through comparison.
