I’m sure many brands are dying to dress him. It’s funny. I am someone who likes to clear an inbox, and I’ve had to learn that I can’t get through all my emails now. But it’s champagne problems, having these amazing brands in my inbox. And also, I don’t think they get shouted out enough, but the PRs for these brands have been incredible to work with. Not only are they good at their jobs in terms of getting things out on time, accommodating tailoring and fittings, but there’s a genuine enthusiasm from these brands to dress him because they love how he wears their clothes. As he gets more attention from brands, perhaps some that have an established look, how do you make sure that what he wears still feels authentic to him? It’s keeping the same sense of what Connor and I both want to collaborate on. Since its debut in late 2025, Heated Rivalry, the Canadian queer hockey romance series directed by Jacob Tierney, has become a global hit, rocketing lead actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie to fame along the way. When Williams auditioned for Heated Rivalry, he was waiting tables at the Old Spaghetti Factory in his native British Columbia. Less than two months after the show’s release, the actor was a fixture at Milan Fashion Week, walking the runway for Dsquared2 and sitting front row at Giorgio Armani. Shane Hollander may have felt a little sheepish about hiring a stylist, but Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams appears to be much more at ease in high-fashion circles: After accessorizing his silky Armani dinner jacket with roughly four acres of sternum and Bvlgari jewelry at the Golden Globes 2026 last weekend, Williams made his runway debut in Milan on Friday, the very first official day of Milan Fashion Week. Williams, who hails from British Columbia, took to the catwalk on behalf of Dsquared2, a line helmed by Canadian-born identical twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten and based out of Milan. The house frequently features celebrities in its runway presentations: In 2025, for the brand’s 30th anniversary celebration, Doechii opened the show, and Christina Aguilera, Brittany Murphy, and Naomi Campbell have all walked for them in the past. The Golden Globes couldn’t get enough of Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie. Williams arrived first of the pair to the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet in a chic Giorgio Armani ensemble, pairing a white silk shirt and a white dinner jacket and cummerbund with a Bulgari jewelry and Christian Louboutin boots. “It’s hot boys, god damn,” he told the gathered photographers on the Globes red carpet, smirking back when one of the gathered press quipped that the temperature was just a little hotter than him. The 24-year-old did a handful of red carpet interviews, generating gems like, “Love y’all, uh, the sound is included in that,” when asked what his message to the LGBTQIA+ community was, doing shots with Gayle King and his first go at the E! The Shane thing is interesting because I think there’s just so much discomfort in the character himself, in the world outside of being an athlete. Like, Hudson is doing that great. [Laughs] Hudson and Shane are very different people. What a great thing for him that people are really seeing what a wonderful job he did on screen for the show. Connor, too—very different people than the characters they play. But yeah, Shane, I don’t think we could get him to go much further. And then, cut, I have him in very straight-cut suits, a little bit of tailoring, but nothing crazy, really simple lapels for all the tuxedos. Ilya’s tuxedos, we did double-breasted and peak lapel and different colors and played around with that a little bit more. I think it’s all just about trying to tap into the real character beats.
