Seal’s towering son is the ultimate model in skin-tight leather look

Seal and Heidi Klum’s son, Henry Samuel, is steadily becoming a fashion menswear muse in his own right. The 20-year-old took to Instagram on May 29 to show off his latest full Gucci look – and he’s the spitting image of his father. The photograph captured Henry in the designer’s dressing room, striking a fierce pose for the camera as he modeled the all-black ensemble. The outfit consisted of a fitted leather jacket that featured a chic zip-up design and contoured silhouette and a pair of straight-leg tailored pants adorned with the brand’s signature horsebit metal detailing on either pocket. Henry completed the ensemble with a pair of matching leather loafers that were accented with the same horsebit hardware. Henry simply captioned the post: “#gucci.” © InstagramHenry Samuel wearing full Gucci Henry’s career The 6ft 3in tall model is making waves in the fashion industry. James Murdoch Seals Deal for New York Magazine

James Murdoch Seals Deal for New York Magazine

It’s a done deal: James Murdoch‘s Lupa Systems has acquired New York magazine, the Vox Media Podcast Network and Vox. Notably, Vox Media CEO Jim Bankoff will also join New York and Vox within the new company, which will take the name Vox Media. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but The New York Times pegged the value at more than $300 million. The deal gives Murdoch control over the prominent magazine, which includes sub-brands like The Cut, Vulture, Intelligencer, The Strategist, Curbed, and Grub Street, as well as Vox.com, which originated the explainer news format, and produces popular shows like Today, Explained. The podcast networks includes shows like Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, Criminal, and Where Should We Begin? with Esther Perel. Murdoch’s father, Rupert Murdoch, also once owned New York, though he sold it in 1991. “This acquisition aligns well with our existing holdings and investments and reflects both our interest in the forward edge of culture and our deep commitment to ambitious journalism and agenda-setting conversations,” said Murdoch in a statement. “It will allow …

Why Trump, MAGA and Fetterman say correspondents’ dinner shooting seals deal for 0M White House ballroom

Why Trump, MAGA and Fetterman say correspondents’ dinner shooting seals deal for $400M White House ballroom

The president of the United States, his MAGA allies, and even a Senate Democrat pressed the case for his $400 million White House ballroom construction in the hours after a shooting at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner left nearly the entire Cabinet and DC press corps ducking for cover minutes into the event. For months, the construction of President Donald Trump’s desired White House ballroom has made headlines and even seemed to consume the president’s attention during unrelated events, where Trump will often go on diatribes about the construction process or building plans. A federal judge halted the project earlier this month, while allowing construction of a secure bunker on the White House complex to continue. Trump had the residence’s iconic East Wing demolished without warning to make room for the structure. But Saturday evening’s chaos added a new twinge of urgency to the president’s statements and elicited a wave of new calls for the event space’s construction on the White House’s grounds from supporters of the president, many of whom had previously ignored …

Jean-Philippe Mateta double seals comeback win for Crystal Palace and piles pressure on Eddie Howe

Jean-Philippe Mateta double seals comeback win for Crystal Palace and piles pressure on Eddie Howe

Afterwards Selhurst Park unsuccessfully reached for the high notes of Vengaboys, wholeheartedly forgiving their best striker since Andy Johnson. “I was delighted for him, I think that’s what he deserves,” said Glasner of Mateta. “As soon as it was clear he was to stay at Crystal Palace he said ‘OK, I will work very very hard to come back and help the team win and achieve all our goals’. “I think this is what he showed and he’s now getting back to his top fitness. The Newcastle centre-backs looked very fatigued at the end because they had to work very hard against him and all of the others.” “Mateta made a difference,” said a chastened Eddie Howe who has now watched Newcastle throw away 25 points from winning positions in the league. “It’s blighted our season, the fact that we haven’t been able to not just consolidate really good passages in games but go on and score more goals and continue to attack. “I’ve said many times that it is not a tactical instruction we …

Man City cut Arsenal down to size as O’Reilly double seals League Cup final

Man City cut Arsenal down to size as O’Reilly double seals League Cup final

LONDON, March 22 : Manchester City reasserted themselves as trophy hunters supreme as they gave Arsenal a chastening reality check with a 2-0 victory in the League Cup final thanks to Nico O’Reilly’s second-half double at Wembley on Sunday. Premier League leaders Arsenal arrived on the crest of a wave and as favourites to win their first silverware since 2020 but were found wanting as City recovered from a rocky start to deservedly win the competition for the ninth time. Five of those have come since Pep Guardiola arrived in 2016 and the Spaniard is now the most successful manager in the competition’s history, moving past Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough who all won it four times. It might be one of the sweetest triumphs of Guardiola’s vast collection too as his impressive side shrugged off their midweek elimination in the Champions League by Real Madrid to make a mockery of talk of power shifts and Arsenal quadruples. “Unbelievable feeling. To win a final, to beat this team we know how good they …

The saint who faced down lions and killer seals is one of many ‘leading ladies’ in early Christian texts

The saint who faced down lions and killer seals is one of many ‘leading ladies’ in early Christian texts

(The Conversation) — The Bible is filled with brave and courageous women. Deborah, the judge who fought a war to protect her people. The widow Ruth, who wittingly convinces a man to marry her in order to continue the lineage of her mother-in-law, Naomi. Esther, who boldly stands up to an evil politician, Haman, in order to save the Jewish people from death. Judith, who beheads an opposing general in order to save her community. The stories of these confident women are found in the Hebrew Bible, the sacred text of Judaism, which also forms half of the Christian Bible. But when it comes to the New Testament, where are the “leading ladies” of Christianity? A reliquary of St. Thecla dating to the 15th or 16th century shows her with the lioness who defended her.Daderot/Wikimedia Commons While a few important women are mentioned – such as Mary, the mother of Jesus; and Mary Magdalene, who discovers his empty tomb – no women are the stars of their own books in this half of the Bible. …
