Republicans are often very good at converting an event into a scandal, even when there is none to be found. They keenly understand the basic mechanics of a contemporary political media that rewards conflict. The modern conservative machine often operates in unison to manufacture a reality-TV confrontation designed to thrill the GOP base.  First, a Republican makes a dramatic accusation. Then, conservative influencers and right-wing media outlets duly amplify the charge until it becomes a viral “gotcha” moment. GOP politicians and operatives then go on podcasts and Fox News to repeat the accusation. By the time anyone checks the underlying evidence, the original allegation has become canon to conservatives.  That was plainly the ambition behind Missouri Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt’s performance on Tuesday at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with former special counsel Jack Smith. The creator boom has delivered plenty of experts in various fields offering up advice, interviews and tips on how to get ahead in careers like finance, tech, beauty, wellness and everything in between. A new series is set to launch, focused on helping creative executives succeed, and comes from those who know Hollywood well. Aptly titled The Creative Executive, it doubles as a YouTube series and business platform. Launching in partnership with Wispr Flow and executive coaching firm Novus Global on Oct. 8, it comes from Harry Smith, known as the brother of Oscar-winning actor Will Smith, and Siddhi Sundar, a filmmaker and former Netflix executive. The Hollywood Reporter received the roster of season one guests and it includes many familiar names from the Will Smith universe, including the man himself. He sat for a lengthy interview, and the 90-minute chat will close the season. It finds him talking about everything from creative partnerships and building a family enterprise to career longevity.
