Mel B has recalled a “horrifying” moment during her first pregnancy when she was asked to weigh herself live on television. Saying such an incident “would never be allowed in this day and age”, Spice Girls singer Mel, 50, spoke to Page Six at an event for Revive Collagen, where she discussed the experience while pregnant with her eldest daughter Phoenix, now 27. At the time, she was 23 and appearing in a live interview during her early years with the Spice Girls – which also includes Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm – and rose to global prominence in the late 1990s. Speculation has been rife as we approach the thirtieth anniversary of the advent of the Spice Girls. Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell launched into the public eye in September 1996 with the album Spice, which included the iconic single Wannabe. Three albums and as many tours later, they had established themselves as the girl group of the late 1990s, but in recent decades, they’ve rarely shared the stage. Melanie Brown has penned a heartfelt tribute to her “brave” friend Victoria Beckham on a special date amid the ongoing Beckham family rift. The singer shared a throwback photo alongside Victoria and the rest of her Spice Girls “sisters” – Geri Halliwell-Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm – as she gushed about their “courage” and “integrity” on International Women’s Day.  “On international women’s day I want to celebrate just SOME of the amazing women who mean soooooo much to me for their courage and bravery, never wavering in there integrity, paving the way for other women even at the cost of themselves and being all round unstoppable,” she wrote in a social media post on Sunday. Melanie Brown is reminiscing about the long-term support of her Spice Girls ladies. On Saturday, the singer, 50, took a trip down memory lane to 1999 when she walked alongside supermodel Kate Moss for Welsh designer Julien Macdonald’s spring/summer 2000 show during London Fashion Week – and her bandmates were right there in the front row to support her loudly and proudly.  Mel B looked back on her runway moment from 27 years ago with throwback photos from the show, for which she wore a gorgeous pink embellished dress with a transparent sheen and a thigh-high split. Victoria Beckham has joined her Spice Girls bandmates for an impromptu sing-along of one of their signature hits. On Thursday, Victoria’s youngest son Cruz Beckham shared a video on social media showing him accompanying his mum and her fellow Spice Girls Melanie C, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton on the guitar for a rendition of the ballad Viva Forever.
